Received a text/email update.

Interview will be on September 12.

yay.

*Cue nervousness*

Today I checked the website and I have the interview on the same day as you!

My EAD/AP card is being produced, and looking at other people's timeline I won't have it in my hands before a week. I absolutely have to leave, so I decided to go anyways. I spoke to the customer service (even before I knew it was approved) and they said I was free to go, as long as I had my card when I got back. My mother in law here will mail the card to me whenever it arrives. My sweetie is coming with me, but flying a few days later, so he might bring the card.

I am so happy things are moving along. I can't wait to come back and be able to work!

I had the same issue this morning. I called the customer service and they told me that when you file i131, i765 and i 485 concurrently they only issue one EAD card that is valid as AP as well. Now it's just a matter of waiting!

Oops, I had meant to write: Aha, it's all clear now. I had thought they had ordered production of the approved AP ONLY.

Day 46, my I-485 moved to Testing and Interview, saw it online, I didn't received a text or email, I was kind of hopping to have the interview waived. What worries me is that my Dad - the petitioner would not be able to go with me to the interview due to health issues. we are getting a note from his doctor stating that. I hope it would be good enough for the USCIS officer. I'll leave it on God's hands, he'll take care of me..he always had.

Hey guys! Where did you get your birth certificate or other foreign documents translated for AOS? I accidentally forgot to make a copy of mine before I sent it and I need to bring one to the interview. You may be wondering why I don't go to the same place again, and that's because they are a total rip off.

Thank you!!!

Thank you!!!

I translated my own birth certificate, I called USCIS and they said it was acceptable. So far so good no problems at all. I read a post somewhere it said you cannot translate your own documents, when I Called and ask I was told .. Yes I can do it.
