Oh ok cool. Since it had said 'we have approved this I131 APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT' I wasn't too sure. Thanks!

The I-131 was the first part of my post. Then I checked the EAD which was the second part of the post after AND. Guess I wasn't clear!

I know it's all pretty confusing to me too. Like how can they approve production of the green card / EAD when the AOS isn't finished? Seems like they kind of go hand in hand. I guess if they don't approve the AOS then they revoke the EAD? Hey, it's the government so logic doesn't always apply! rolleyes.gif

Aha, it's all clear now. I had thought they had ordered production of the approved AP. :-)

As I understand it, they approve EADs before the AOS is complete so that one can at least start working and also travel while waiting on the green card since that process can sometimes take quite a bit of time. I had never thought about what happens to the EAD if the AOS I-485 application is denied but, yes, I imagine that it is eventually revoked/canceled unless one's appeal is successful. But I could be wrong.

I had the same issue this morning. I called the customer service and they told me that when you file i131, i765 and i 485 concurrently they only issue one EAD card that is valid as AP as well. Now it's just a matter of waiting!

This morning I checked my status on uscis.gov and they approved my case and the letter is in the mail!

Now its a matter of waiting only a few days!

I am so happy USCIS came through this time for me. The best they could tell me on Friday when I spoke to customer service was two weeks to a month.

I am so happy and grateful, I am going to buy my ticket home in only a couple of days!

Sim.Mon it looks like they actually did expedite your AP as it only took 30 days from your notice date whereas ours took 60 days. I'm hoping the paper AP shows up in the mail pretty quickly which will allow travel without waiting on the card.

We applies for AOS after I can to the stated with a K1 visa.

Our NOA date is June 03, 2013

Biometrics done on July 10, 2013

On July 22,, 2013 status changed to testing/interview. AP and EAD still on intital review.

So far I haven't receive any letter with our interview date. I'm getting impatient ;)

Anyone else here in the Miami area? I'm wondering how much longer before I get my letter?

Is it normal for it to take so long to receive the interview letter?

It's been 43 days since I filed and I still can't track my case either on the site or on the phone.

I called an agent today but he helpfully informed me that he couldn't do anything until 45 days had passed and told me to call back in 3 days. :rolleyes:

Had my biometrics appointment late June, but in terms of when I can expect EAD/AP or even the green card, who knows at this point.

Anyone else at MSC unable to track their case status?

I mailed My AOS pkg. on 6/19 and it was received on 6/24/13 it was sent to MSC as well, I've been able to track my case online, however it hasn't change since day 1 I 485 is on acceptance and EAD / AP initial review. ranting33va.gif

i have not received anything..

Patiently waiting.

I changed my address and placed a request to check for name error all last month. i dont suppose that should delay my processing times as my 485 updated during those processes. Maybe its my local office?
