Does the beneficiary NEED the NOA2 before the interview?

Figuring out logistics....

My USC petitioner will be out of town for a couple months (great timing!) around the time we are expecting/hoping to receive an approval/NOA2. After I receive the notification of approval, am I (the beneficiary) able to complete the following steps leading up to the interview without our NOA2? Or is there something I would need the hardcopy/information on the NOA2 before I start working towards my interview/medical stage.

All you need is your case number. You don't need the actual NOA2 for anything leading up to the interview.

You use your case number when calling NVC or DOS to ask about your new case number and if its been mailed to the consul yet.
