Two wedding ceremonies?

Have any of you had two wedding ceremonies -- one in the US and one in the homeland of your finace'? My finace' would like to have a secondary ceremony in Ukraine after officially marrying in the US (so her family can celebrate the occasion as well). Can anyone share some insight on how to make this work within the bounds and rules of the K1 process as well as the subsequent permanent resident process. Thanks in advance for the comments and advice!

After AOS and receiving CR, it's ok to go back with your fiance to Ukraine to have a wedding ceromony.

As long as your marry first in the U.S. (within the 90 days), you will be able to return to the Ukraine for a second wedding after either the AOS has been approved, or the AP has been approved, if you decide to apply for AP at the same time as the AOS.

As long as she arrives "legally" unmarried to the US. There is nothing to prevent you from having a church ceremony in Ukraine (not legally recognized) before she arrives here. A ceremony at ZAGS is the only recognized ceremony so DO NOT have a ZAGS ceremony prior to arrival.

YMMV

Eh, that depends on so many variables it's hard to tell you exactly HOW long it will take. My husband and I filed AOS in July 06 and so far we've gotten one RFE. We aren't going to worry about how long it takes...it will happen when it happens. He has his EAD and can work. I guess we're just really patient people. :)

As for a second ceremony, as soon as my husband gets his GC we're going back to Nova Scotia and have a ceremony there for all the family and friends who couldn't fly down here in July for the legal wedding.
