Hello! I just recently applied for adjustment of status. We are still waiting for my green card. My husband's annual income does not meet the poverty guideline so we asked his step mother to sign an I-864A. Recently, my sponsor (my husband's step mother) wanted to withdraw her petition as my sponsor. My husband's stepfather offered to take over the sponsorship but we don't know yet if he is allowed to. His tax returns is under the poverty guidelines but he gets compensation from the Department of Veterans Affair because he is a disabled veteran. He receives compensation from Social security and VA which makes his annual income above the poverty guideline. Is it possible that my husband's stepfather can sponsor my adjustment of status petition? What forms should we submit to the USCIS? Thank you!
