interview was at 8:00am

waited for a little over 90 minutes.

went into interview and was asked in russian (was not asked to speak in english ... odd!?)

2 questions: how we met and what did we do.... thats it... *shocking!*

My fiancee asked "that's it?" and the officer said "Well there's no need to ask any further questions, you two sent us more than enough information so we do not need to ask any futher questions. You've been accepted and should take 3-5 business days to get the visa/passport from Pony Express.

Well we've sent an email to them, 2 days ago. and also we can check the passport status which just said "passport is still with post" and checked the https://ceac.state.gov website and it just says "ready"
but that's about it... most reviews ive read here and on different forums say 3-5 days as normal but ya know, a week seems a bit much with just mailing it. Maybe i should just wait a few more days... but im anxious to know if anyone else took longer than 3-5 business days.

Congratulations! dancin5hr.gif

Quick question: did your fiancé bring documents to the interview or did you guys send it to the embassy before interview took place?

Well most of the original stuff was sent between nvc and embassy, all you need to bring to embassy/interview is proof of work/income, with forms, new letters of I-129F saying you guys are still willing to get married and still together, current and latest proof of relationship, ie texts, phone calls, chat transcripts etc. 2-3 most recent tax statements, 4-5 latest paychecks. stuff like that.

Oh, thank you! You got me worried there for a second, because I didn't send anything to the embassy between the approval date and interview. And from your initial post it sounded like you did. Well, I'm ready then) Just got final set of docs from the States this morning. Now - medical check and I'm good to go!

Congratulations!

I was wondering if you received any Packages 3, 4 from the Embassy? I read somewhere on forums that you call to NVC once you've got your NOA2 to get your new case # and was under impression you can setup interview and medical test with that. Is that correct or am I wrong?

Best of luck on your journey to the States!
