I'm currently 16, wanted to go with a friend who is 18 to the US (Tourism, 20 days), but got denied for not having strong connections with the country, been here only 2 years.

Next year I will be 18 and plan to study in the US, California.

Will the current visa that I'v been DENIED For, affect the 2nd visa (different reason, 1st one was for tourism, and I was 16, and the one next year will be for university and I'll be 18...)

Thanks

Not necessarily.

In the first case, it sounds like you went to the States on a tourist visa (or a visa waiver program) and were simply turned away at the border. You were denied entry, in that case, not denied a visa. But the way you've worded it is a little confusing to me. Did you apply for a visa and get denied or did you travel and then get denied at the border?

Where are you from?

Bosnia.

No, I went to the US Embassy in Bosnia, and I was DENIED, never went to the US, but had plans to go there for 20 days.

Oh, I see.

Well, anyway. A visa denial once does not mean a visa denial again. The form for your student visa will likely ask if you have applied for a visa before and what the result of that was. You should tell them about the tourist visa and denial. You know why they denied you the first time, so you'll be prepared better this time to show your ties back home better (and you've lived there longer).

Where are you originally from if you've only been to Bosnia 2 years?

Denial won't make much impact for future visas if you can prove you'll be returning to your home country - that's on you to prove.

Libya will be difficult for a student visa so expect additional processing, apply early.

Be accepted into an accredited university and show substantial monies to pay for your entire education.
