Hi everyone,

I'm one of the December filers that was transferred from the Vermont center. A couple of days ago I received an I-797 Notice of Action, Transfer Notice stating my case has been transferred to the Texas Service Center for processing. I tried calling and getting more information since my case has passed the 5 month average processing time and the operator told me that I could not and would never be able to inquire about my case since Texas does not have an average processing time listed for I-129F (obviously, because the center does not normally process them). She told me that there is and never will be a way to check on my case as long as no standard processing time is posted for the Texas center- how frustrating!!! I tried to talk to someone else who would know what's going on with the case, but she was very insistent upon the fact that it would be impossible.

Please, did anyone else have luck finding out what's going on? It seems very unfair that we transfers cannot check on our cases only because Texas does not normally process these cases.

I hope someone else has more information!! How many others has this happened to? Any help or insight is appreciated!

Just hang in there because you are not alone. VSC is just screwed us up.

I too agree with you. They transferred our cases to some alien service center & some of them from Dec & Jan getting approved directly from Vermont.

We are also a December filer from Vermont and have noticed also January filers being approved in VSC. I believe it would of been better if they transferred January and February to the other centers and left us in Vermont seeing that they were coming up to us. However with the luck I have had lately Jan & Feb filers will be getting approved. I know each case is different from another case but we just have to keep our patience and hope that we hear something more in the next couple of weeks. Fingers are definitively crossed. Right now my fiancé has been here for 2wks now and he's here for another 2 so it would be great to hear some good news for us while we're together here in the US.

I am a Feb filer and I have to agree with you on that point . It would have been better to move the later petitions . It would give VSC the time to work on the Nov and Dec . The late Jan and Feb would still be processed sooner then with VSC . It would have been a better solution for everyone .

:(.. Im a December filer too from Vermont. I am still waiting as well. I'm starting to lose it.. i go on the USCIS website and check my status like every 10 minutes. :(((((((... when will our approvals come? No1 has gotten approved from Texas yet... Lord.... :((((

VSC has created a real mess! 8,000 cases transferred to an office that doesn't do I-129f's so now these people wait until staff is trained. Those left at VSC look to be forgotten. There are still several October and November filers left at VSC . Looking at Igor's list, VSC has slowed down even more. All this while CSC is processing Feb filers. I contacted the Ombudsman office today to complain. But, it will take more than me to bring attention to our plight. If your as pissed off as I am, please fill out this form and complain. There is power in numbers!!!!

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

NOTE: Actual sent date unknown due to lawyer negligence - I delivered ALLForms and PAID Lawyer on Nov 7, 2012 - Lawyer kept saying he sent the packet and USCIS must have lost it. When in reality he failed to send the package and only a new copy to USCIS after I made a legal written demand giving him 10 days to perform or return ALL monies paid to him, due to "non-performance".

(IMO it's better to save your money for visits to or from your Fiancé and just fill it out yourself using the K-1 Guide on VJ and Senior Members... They Rock!!!)

Feb 13, 2013 ~ Alien Number Changed/Assigned

July 8, 2013 ~ RFE Hardcopy Rec'd (Requesting Signed/Original "Intent to Marry within 90 days of Arrival" letter from both parties.)

Any approvals for teansfered files???

If Texas doesn't have capable staff why did they transfer all the files????

Please check the last post from Enigma. All updates about the transfer to Texas is there. One person got a RFE .. and their NOA date was Dec 17th, same date as me.

Finally .. seems like things are picking up at Texas. Good luck .
