Taking the medical exam 1 1/2 months before interview

Is it okay to have the medical exam at St. Luke's done more than a month and a half before the interview date? I just want to make sure that if they ever ask me to have that sputum test, we would still be able to go with our visa interview date.

I don't know if its applicable to K1 visas, but i did mine before we even started the NVC stage..The guard asked for my appointment letter and i said i don't have it yet, and showed him what i got which is the NOA2 hard copy, the first page of the NVC instruction letter which has my MNL case number, passport with photocopy and the 2 copies of my Preregistration at St. Lukes online..The guard then took the pre registration copies, photocopy of passport and did not even care looking at my NOA2 hard copy

Yes, you can complete the medical a month and a half before your interview. However, if you are required to undergo a sputum culture, it will take two months to complete and your interview will have to be rescheduled for a later date.

Keep in mind that your visa's validity is tied to the date that you complete your medical. Your visa will be valid for six months from the date of the medical.

If I have to undergo the sputum test, I would be fine adjusting the interview to a week. Originally I was planning to have my med exam done on July 4-5, which would mean moving the interview date to September if I have to undergo the sputum test. So I was thinking of doing the med exam sometime next week and get the whole thing over with. The interview schedule appointment can be re-scheduled again at the ustraveldocs website right? Just as long I don't do it twice?

If you get tagged for a sputum culture, you can reschedule your interview when you're done with the culture, or you can have St. Lukes reschedule your interview for you. I believe you can reschedule twice before being penalized.
