I think it's great that the parents turned in their child.

Why? They could not get him properly diagnosed for many years prior, and need to have him out of the house.

On a serious note, CBS covered this story the other night on their evening news. The parents were heartbroken for making this decision, but still knew it was the right thing to do. My wife commented that she wasn't sure if she could make the same decision if she were in their shoes. I truly feel for these parents.

it must be completely devastating to raise a child that has had issues with rage and impulse control and find that these issues get worse and less manageable as they reach adulthood.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
