dumb. and she should be embarrassed. she's not protecting anything, apparently she's only delaying the inevitable.

Huh. -500 points for not reading the article.

MOST LIKELY, she's trying to avert an 'Anthony Weiner-like' episode with her husband.

It's great she's stepping in and handling stuff - her children's future lifestyle is ensured.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I think we all have a few of those type of friends on FB.. The weekly drama report. I agree I am sure she embarrassed the heck out of him.

she embarrassed the heck out of herself. most people have ample opportunity to cheat on a daily basis. and if her husband wants to cheat, a fb rant from his wifey isn't going to stop him though it may get some ladies to back up, just to avoid the drama. wouldn't matter if her husband was a custodian at burger king she'd probably be sitting in the parking lot waiting for him to get off his shift every day and shooting nasty looks to each female coworker of his possible..him being in a position of 'power' over lobby prostitutes or whatever has little to do with anything imo

My impression was not so much that she was afraid of her husband cheating on her but that the unsolicited pics were becoming a nuisance and not appropriate for her family. She said her kids visit their dad's facebook page.

i don't know if you use fb, but he is in complete control over what pictures are viewable to his children, the general public, and his wife. his wife is trying to act as his security settings because she is insecure. and if he has allowed these pictures posted to his facebook - she might have good reason.

I don't. That must be the disconnect. Maybe it is a little insecurity, i still think she was in the right. If that happened to me, I'd be ok with letting my wife take control of my facebook. Of course, I'd prob be pissed if she made such a public message because it would draw so much attention.

I agree, and that applies to everyone. I have seen girls that just way over the top hit on Girls in front of their BF/Husband. Then ask the BFwhy he did not say anything.

I always looked at it like this and told a woman once--You did not seem to be minding. If you had said something or shut it down and it continued, then it would be me and him. Until then it's on you.

If she has to go public to warn women to stay away she has already lost.

I had a very hot woman tell me in front of my wife the other day as I was heading out to the gym... Oh you going to get sexy for me baby. She was joking of course, but I told her quickly in front of my wife. No I am going to get sexy for my wife. it just sets the tone. I have seen good natured flirting be the start of stuff, It's important to set boundaries.

I always looked it at it like this.. If you would not like it if your partner did it, then don't do it yourself.

yeah- you can control everything that is posted to your page. you can also control who sees what on your page. what i'm saying is, this didn't happen to him, either he allowed it to happen or was lazy and didn't correct the situation himself or he needs to make himself aware of fb security settings (which i should hope he's done considering his children are active on fb).

Good point.

my son plays lives for xbox live and there are certain games he joins that contain the most ridiculous array of trolls, serious gamers, creeps (all talking constantly - it's super annoying). no amount of security controls (outside of making these games 'off limits' and thus more attractive) will completely protect him, he has to be his own filter most of the time. important skill in social networking environments and certainly not something that i had to be aware of at his age.

For sure, parenting should be about developing a child that knows how to deal with the complete random craziness of this world. I'm not into sheltering kids, but I think some things should be off limits until a child can handle them properly. A good parent knows how to recognize the mile markers IMO.

i keep the xbox in the main living room so i have to hear what is being said. last night some kid was pretending he was retarded (sounded like he was pretending to me anyway). another kid started making fun of him. a couple other kids defended the kid getting made fun of. then some guy jumped in and started making mildly sexual comments (albeit gross) to everyone in the game. my son just sort of rolled his eyes and said something about the creepy guy being a lazy troll. i was proud.

I disagree. Recognizing a creepy troll and moving on would get him nowhere here.
