I wonder if he can claim self defense? There he was, surrounded by thousands of Muslim haters at the finish line...................................................

Donations have been pouring in for Dzokhar Tsarnaev, the surviving Boston bombing suspect told his mother in a phone call from a military hospital, Channel 4 reported.

In the first released recording of Tsarnaev’s voice since the April 15 attacks, the suspect told his mother, Zubeidat Tsarnaeva, that supporters have set up a bank account for him and have donated about $1,000, Channel 4 reported. Tsarnaeva, who spoke to the news outlet with her ex-husband in Dagestan, shared that she’s also been getting help from supporters, and has collected about $8,000.

The mother and son were forbidden from speaking about the attacks that claimed three lives and injured at least 260 people. But Tsarnaeva shared her son’s positive sentiments.

“Mama, do not worry about me. I do have money,” Tsarnaev said, according to his mother. “Somebody opened [an] account for me. People send me money here. I do have a lot of money.”

Tsarnaev’s supporters have also taken to social networking sites to make their voices heard. The “Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Free Jahar movement” Facebook page has more than 8,000 members. The group states that the 19-year-old’s “life has been stolen and has been made into a public object of hate, created by the inaccurate reports by the media.” His fans are also speaking out on Twitter and are using the hashtag #freejahar and handles that include, @FreeJaha @Fighting4Jahar and @PrayForJaharr.

The suspect’s parents insist that Tsarnaev, and his brother –- Tamerlan, who died after an explosive shootout with police –- are innocent.

"It's all lies and hypocrisy," Tsarnaeva told The Associated Press in Dagestan in April. "I'm sick and tired of all this nonsense that they make up about me and my children.”

Tsarnaev is currently awaiting trialand faces federal charges that carry the death penalty.

No problems. I would happily donate an AR-15 to execute this scum, and a finger to pull the trigger.

Okay, fun aside . . . what I am wondering is why he isn't stripped of his US citizenship. If there is ONE perfect case where this is justified, it's this one!

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Now now, a man is innocent until proven guilty. You guys should come to Boston. We're the hot spot for high profile criminal cases right now. Jury selection started today for Whitey Bulger. There are three pools of 225 potential jurors each. Hopefully out of 775 people they can pick 12 plus 6 alternates. I would say it is impossible to pick an impartial jury in this case.

Well, you should donate hands and feet since those are - according to you - more lethal than an AR-15.

They kill more people every year than assualt weapons.or man made lakes

I am sure he must have received some financial support from the NRA, considering their staunch dedication to protecting the constitutional rights of all Americans as of lately.

Guns are made to kill. Hands and feet are made for walking and various other beneficial activities.

Lets take the famous car argument. Cars kill more people than guns, ban cars. You see, the very vast majority of these are accidents. However gun deaths tend to be a direct result of one person wanting to kill another. Therefore, accidents and purpose driven deaths cannot be compared. If one guy plans out a murder, then goes out and kills another with a gun, that's called murder 1. If you're driving to work and someone's car blows a tire and the car careens into your car, killing you, the driver of the other car is not a murderer. Wouldn't you agree? If the statistics for car related homicide where in the ballpark of gun related, I think we may be able to compare the two.

a lot of gun deaths are self inflicted
