Hi all, my husband has never received his green card, he was approved but we moved before we received it, that was dumb i know, but anyway we are applying for a replacement card for him.

There are a few questions that are not clear on the form I-90, hopefully somebody will be able to go through them with me.

1- the instruction states that if the card never received then we should send a copy of -797, notice of action along with the form I-90. but we don't have it either! is it gonna be a problem? can we send a copy of the email we received from the USCIS that says the petition was approved? will it be enough?

2- should we tick the box where it says the card was lost, stolen ? or issued but never received ? i know it's our fault and the USCIS has sent it and the USPS confirmed that the mail was delivered but we are now in a different state.

3- Has your name legally changed since the issuance of your Permanent Resident Card?

yes

no

N/A- i never received my previous card

his name hasn't changed, but which answer is it.... no or N/A i never received my previous card?

4- class of addimission ??? he came on K-1 visa and we have been married for less than 2 years. i believe that they issued him a conditional green card, what is the class of addmission ?

5- Date of addmission? is it the date on the green card? if yes then we have never seen the green card to know the date ont it, what should we answer?

6- Location where you applied for an immigrant visa or adjustment of status was granted?

we sent the I-485 package to Chicago and then it was transfered to California sevice center

7-Location where immigrant visa was issued or USCIS office where adjustment of status was granted

we never had an interview!! he was approved without an interview, what is the answer?

8- Destination in United states at time of admission??? is it were he landed or where he was going next? he came to NY, we got married and stayed there for 3 months and then went to live in Michigan and filed while we were there. the address he gave them when was asked at the POE was NY but the address that was on form I-485 was Michigan!!! which one do we use for this question?

your effort are highly appreciated

Before my wife's one year extension expired on her conditional green card, we had to make an infopass appointment with one of two choices. Either bring two passport photos with you, plus any other information you have and apply for an I-90. Or bring a current valid foreign passport and get an I-551 stamp in it. Its your responsibility to keep yourself legal. See no difference with not receiving your green card. This should keep you going until you can sort it out.

We just applied for an I-551 stamp in my wife's current valid foreign passport. Think the other method with the two photographs is actually the I-94 if they are still doing that. Either has a time limit, should request one long enough so you don't have to make another infopass appointment.

This can be done right away at your local field office. And is proof of being a LPR, without that, can't neither work or travel.

I was wrong about posting that I-90, is an application for applying for a replacement green card. In our case, our I-751 was misplaced, so didn't have to file and pay the USCIS more money. Just took them some time to find it.
