Hey everyone smile.png.
I recently found out about this website. I've searched and read many posts but still need some help. This seems to be the perfect place to ask seeing as every other website bashes me with the rude " stay where you're from" and the "you're just in it for the green card" comments and i feel llike you all can relate some how.

I'm a 22 year old undergraduate from the bahamas, have my AA, will be receiving my bachelors in roughly a year. I figure the amount of time this process seems to take would work out great for us and starting our life. My boyfriend (that i've known for 4 years and dated for over 2) and I would like 2 go to the courthouse and then soon after file the needed paperwork to change my status then worry about a real ceremony afterwards.

from what i've gathered i need to file a i-130 (petition for alien relative) and I-485 (a.o.s) together along with an the I-864 support affidavit and I-693 (medical exam...i've presented my current school with immunization records i don't know if that makes much of a difference) ?? but is that right? Am i missing anything or is this too much?

I should then file all these together (i think the place is in chicago, i'm going to school in florida) along with

a copy of his proof of citizenship, i.e. birth certificate for the 1-130 petition

his proof of employment with income taxes for the support form

6 passport photos of myself and 4 of him

and proof of our marriage, i.e. license for the a.o.s form ?

Is a check in the mail okay to pay for these files with and does everything get paid all at once?

do i also have to file a G-325A biographic info form? i've seen a lot of people say i only need the petition and adjustment form but i've seen websites give up to 5 files.

then just wait for the receipts and appointments?

I apologize if i've typed a lot and asked a lot, i've been through the f1 visa process numerous times and realize that it's costly, time consuming and if you miss out anything you practically have to start over so i just want to make sure i get everything right and i'll accept as much information as possible. I'm also nervous because we're preparing to tell our parents of our plans so i really want to make sure i have everything in order when i approach them. (Also if any1 wants to share how supportive or non supportive their parents were i don't mind at all lol) Thank you so much to any one who helps out.
