Good day! I was talking with my fiance who is coming in from another country and has to make a connecting trip in Paris, we were discussing that I buy that half of his ticket from the internet, say cheap tickets (he gets the actual boarding pass/ticket when he checks in), and then he gets his ticket in Paris, would anyone recommend this route? I traveled through Pais a couple years ago and I saw a couple had problems passing through the security checkpoints because they did not have a physical ticket, it was an e-ticket that their travel agent had printed for them. They missed their flight.

Thanks for the advice!

It sounds problematic because since he would be transiting on a non-connected ticket, how will he transfer his luggage? He will be required to exit the international arrival hall (transit through passport control) and claim the luggage in order to check in for his next flight. If you do this he will require a visa for France.

If he is only transiting France and has a onward connected ticket then he can remain in the international arrival/departure hall as his luggage will be transfered to the next flight.

Why can't either youn or he buy the whole ticket at one time? It just seems to be too risky for me. Incidentially, some are worried about wiring money and the cost etc.

I just opened a checking account, put money in it and sent a debit card. Winds up being cheaper than wiring money
