El Salvador and Visa Disinformation Center

Called the Visa Information Center in the morning this time and was told that if the Embassy sent out 2 packet 3's then she must fullfill all the requirements for packet 3 again, including another physical, more xrays, more fees and the same forms over again. When I asked why do everything a second time when the embassy had everything prior to the end of October, then they said to call back in 60 days and hopefully everthing will be straghtened out. The conversation degenerated from there and they said that of I wanted a speedy resolution to our case that I should contact my US Congressman and/or Senator. I find this very interesting coming from the company in Mexico that the embassy has outsourced their customer service to.

What a long strange trip it's been...oh Grateful Dead....

Came home today and there was a large envelope in the mailbox..... No return address and I almost threw it away, but I noticed it had a first class stamp on it. Instead of tearing it up and throwing it in the garbage I noticed it was addressed to Digna, my fiance. I opened it.....2 pages all in Spanish......Packet #4.....Oh yeah!!!! Packet #4 was not sent to Digna, and had to rush down to Fedex Kinkos, scan it and send it to her by email. Apparently, after recieving packet #4, we qualify for an appointment..... There may be a chance that she will be here by Christmas, if not, then shortly after. I cannot believe that this journey may be coming to an end. I get to hold her close to me and fall madly in love with those dark brown eyes on an everyday basis. I cannot imagine myself being that happy as when I visited her in El Salvador. Let's see what Uncle Sam can throw at us again.....I hope that he is weak and old and going to give us a chance to be together..... Best Wishes....
