Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

You are confused. There are THOUSANDS of taco places with baja cooks and owners in the state where you live. I never said you are to go to Baja - I am talking of Mexican Baja Cuisine -- which is PERVASIVE in California and ssooooooooooooooo much better than that crappy tex-mex yer b|tching about.

How to know? ask the cook where he or she is from. it's just that easy.

-----I'm giving up on this topic and gonna talk more about taco trucks. Bite Me..

I'm not confused. Read again. I said I've had Baja tacos in the valley when we lived there for a few years. There were a lot of people from Ensenada in our old area who can really make tacos perfectly. I don't miss anything else in the valley, except for the unforgettable Baja Mexican cuisine, Chinese and Taiwanese restaurants. I haven't found good Baja tacos on the Westside that are as good as the ones I used to eat in the valley.

the first picture is actually carnitas. my fav kind of taco..

I love carnitas, too!

I am not sure where you are located, Calypso but there is this place in LA called Olvera St. They have a really good Mexican restaurant there called, Rodolfo's. they serve the best enchiladas, tacos and taquitos there and their beans are to die for.

I live in Marina del Rey. My husband and I joined the CicLAvia on April 21 this year. We rode our bikes from home to Downtown LA and had lunch at Rodolfo's on Olvera St. You're right. The beans and taquitos are great but I'm still loyal to Tacos Ensenada on Huntington Dr in Duarte, CA. Those guys make my favorite camarones, pescado, and carnitas taco.

cool beans  My husband introduced me to that place when I first moved here and I have been hooked ever since. I always get the enchiladas, their sauce is amazing. I took my family there once and they love it too.. years later my dad still talks about those beans..lol

Aside from the food, the district really has that festive Mexican vibe. It's a fun place, especially on crowded Sundays.

yeah, I like walking around there. They also have a really good churro place there called Mr.Churro that makes them fresh.. I always just get the plain churro without the filling.

mmm, now I want some enchiladas and churros.. :P
