It's still a record involving the discharge of a firearm. Look, we can argue this back and forth all day long. The fact of the matter is that our resident gun nuts wanted to celebrate the perceived fact that NYs tighter gun control laws causes gun crime to rise. In order to prove that perceived fact, they have a victory dance around an article that ironically shows the exact opposite of what they think it shows. And once you point that out, the illiterate NRA crowd disappears in hiding. It's quite hilarious, really.

I don't think they're saying that gun laws cause crime to rise. But just that gun laws does little to curb gun violence here.

Oh and I also would like to point out that Reckless Endangerment is not an index crime. Therefore it is not calculated in the FBI stats/ NYC Stats that are presented to the public. So the shootings that falls under this classification is not counted.

So you don't actually read the threads you participate in either? Here's the fist sentence of the first post. What does it say?

It never takes long for new gun laws to cause an increase in crime.

Ok I missed that part.

You missed that part? How did you miss that? You responded directly to it. That was your first contribution to this thread.

It never takes long for new gun laws to cause an increase in crime.

In addition to generating millions of dolars for the NRA, crime is spiking in New York. We can predict that Mayor Bloomberg and other fascists will say we "need MORE gun laws, still not enough, let us try again!"

What? ohmy.png surge in gun violence? this can't be......NY is a gun-free zone.....

I saw an opportunity to insert a wise crack, and I took it. I wasn't responding to anything.

I can see that my sense of humor is wasted here....

Yes, your humor is much better served in the Off topic forum.laughing.gif
