But my postings are rarely just to the OP. Hopefully you learned something here as well? No case jumping here....just leading a horse to water.

I learned that I was always right and all you did was support the original wording of my post, because it was always cautionarily qualified.... Your mistake (if any) was that you if you were going to question anybody's post it should have been YuandDan because that post was definitively phrased........

YMMV

Well...Dan is in the thread so hopefully he'll read it as well. My apologies if you felt singled out by my quoting you. I knew I would most likely be able to engage you in a discussion (unlike Dan) and that we could highlight something meaningful for other readers. And the way you and I just discussed this is the way some very valuable senior members have and continue to educate me.

Oh...PS....nobody's always right. At least I'm not. B)

Always right in relation to facts in evidence in this thread only! I agree I cannot make such a bold sweeping statement encompassing everything as I know that I will get hit side of the head by a 2 by 4 (if not by you then by Yodrak) :D

PS. Somehow I sense you think I am not all that experienced... I do not proclaim to be a "senior" member but let me tell you that this is my second K-1 and I went through the entire process back in 2004.

Christina,

He does not have to present any information that he does not want to present. A decision will be made based on the information that is presented and documented.

Yodrak

My fiance is above the 125% requirement for poverty guidelines, does he have to present assets like house, car, etc? Thanks in advance.

I got this from the Philippines Embassy Website.

l. EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public

charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. Submit your petitioner’s most recent

U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters

stating salaries and bank statements may be included. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form

will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for

you.

Even the instructions provided by Manila imply to keep it simple.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

I thought I remembered the name.....and I do apologize if I was condescending. Not my intention at all.

I spent a lot of time researching I-134 and I-864 and still I find twists and turns with it, especially if you look at the fact that in worst-case scenario, a CO could use a thinly completed affidavit to deny what he/she might consider a shaky case. In financial matters it is possible to make ones financial picture look healthy without going into great detail.

Oh, and I don't have a 2x4. It's not good for one's VJ reputation. And it's not a very good teaching tool either.

Carry on, people!
