Typically if the petitioners income exceeds the 125% requirement then he should not have to present further information.

YMMV

See your duplicate post. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=43404

If income is above 125% poverty line then assets dont need to be listed, the more financial data you give them the more that they can ask questions about.

When it comes to this keep It Simple!

I-134, IRS-transcripts (1-3 Years), Letter from employer, and a few recent pay stubs, is all that is needed if above the line.

I have read stories where people get blue slip at the interview requesting supporting financial evidence for assets that did not need to be listed in the first place.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Each consulate is different.

There are norms but nothing is typical.

For that exact reason is why I said "typically" and not "In all cases" in order to allow for variances in local procedure

And for that reason caution should be exercised in advising questions.

Maybe I am wrong but somehow I read that you are inferring I did not exercise caution....

I think you are probably a very nice person who enjoys helping others but perhaps does not yet realize the layers of this process. Nor the fact that some posters don't research like they should if they are given an answer they think is definitive. (F)

So I guess typically, usually, normally, sometimes, .... are not sufficient cautionery qualifiers? .... I guess I will end all my statements from now on with YMMV (Your mileage may vary)

LOL - I've seen that before on here.....

I think it's good to point them in the direction of their consulate. What do you think?

Of course, but you know as well as I do that the consulate websites lack a lot of information regarding there specific local procedures and typically (oh gawd there I go using that word again) reference the standard jargon on the USCIS or DOS website.

That's where spending some time in the appropriate Regional Forum can be helpful. Actual recent experiences to go by, and people who have been down the same road that one can speak with.

So then instead of "jumping my case" for your disagreement in my choice of words, your original comment should have directed the OP to the appropriate regional forum and we could have eliminated about 10 postings in this thread...... :D

But my postings are rarely just to the OP. Hopefully you learned something here as well? No case jumping here....just leading a horse to water.

I learned that I was always right and all you did was support the original wording of my post, because it was always cautionarily qualified.... Your mistake (if any) was that you if you were going to question anybody's post it should have been YuandDan because that post was definitively phrased........
