I am preparing my I-485 package and it says i need a copy of my I-94. I do not where my I 94 is or if i even got one. Its been so long i do not remember. I entered the US legally and i have a stamp in my passport but no form. Is there any way to obtain it or can i send the package without it? Also what is an alien number it asks for on the forms? I do not have one, do i need it? Thank you

Yes you have an A#. It is usually above the beneficiary's name on you NOA2 in the form of xxx-xxx-xxx. For the IR1/CR1 visa the CBP usually writes it on your missing I-94. You will need to get a copy of the I-94 form. You can do this by going to your local international airport and ask for the CBP inspection station and give them your information. They should be able to get you a copy of the I-94 and you can also ask them for your A# while you are there. This is why I made a scan copy of my wife's I-94 and NOAs and everything else along this journey.

Good luck,

Dave

If the OP is adjusting status they can not have entered on a spousal visa IR1 or CR1 because they are issued a green card on entry. There would be no adjustment of status process inside the USA for them.

OP - what are you adjusting status from exactly.

On further review -

The original poster of this topic did not enter on a spousal visa of any kind. They entered as a visitor got married and are now trying to adjust status to file for a green card.

Moved from spousal visa forums to adjustment of status from work student tourist visas.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Correct. I must have been thinking ROC instead of AOS. So the OP does NOT have an A# yet and should write "NONE" in that field.

I will attempt to pull my head out of the third point of contact.headbonk.gif
