Weird, because Justin Bieber is older than TM was...

What makes him (19) a child, but TM (17) a minor?

Because JB is a gay and weakly

TM was scary and menacing and had violent history l.

Oh okay, the definition of child changes depending on how scary you are.

You said TM attacked GZ and implied GZ was such a puss he needed a gun to defend himself.

I neither said nort implied either. It's only in your imagination because you can't read.

BTW You got child and Minor confused. TM was a minor but was not a child.

Wrong again. Legally, as a person under the age of 18, he was a child. Period.

Big Dog Said---I guess. Real men can defend themselves from unarmed kids without having to shoot them. But Zimmermann apparently isn't a man so he was helpless against a child. Yeah, that pink dress theory sounds plausible.

No wonder you are a gun advocate...the world must feel really scary sometimes doesn't it?

It's ok, nobody will hurt you. Not even the scary black teenagers are after you.

You guys are carved out of the same block of quivering jello I swear... LOL

Well not heck no and no. Got it .. No period.

Well doggone boy.. Is not that your dumb as a brick bat there is just so much you don't know. 16 and 17 year olds are treated as adults all the time in the eyes of the law. If TM had been succesful andkilled GZas he triedIam sure he would be treatedas an adult in the legal system.

TRYING YOUTH AS ADULTS
FACT SHEET
What does it mean to "try youth as adults?"
Since 1899, when a separate court for young people was crea
ted in Chicago, young people who
broke the law were brought before the juvenile court. In rar
e cases, judges decided which youth
were "not amenable to treatment" in the juvenile court. In th
ese rare cases, the jurisdiction of the
juvenile court was "waived" and the youth were sent or "trans
ferred" to the adult criminal court. In
more recent years, states have passed a number of laws to expan
d the mechanisms in which youth
may be prosecuted in adult court.
How are youth "tried" as adults?
1
There are five major ways that youth can be prosecuted in adult
court:
Judicial Waiver:
45 states allow juvenile court judges the discretion to have a y
outh's case tried in the adult criminal
court.
Direct File or "Prosecutorial Discretion":
15 states allow prosecutors the discretion to have a youth's
case tried in the adult criminal court.
Mandatory Waiver:
15 states require juvenile court judges to automatically tra
nsfer a youth's case to adult criminal court
for certain offenses or because of the age or prior record of th
e offender.
Statutory Exclusion:
29 states automatically require a youth's case to be tried in t
he adult court based on the age of the
youth, or the alleged crime, or both.
Age of Majority Statutes:
Three states automatically prosecute 16 and 17 year olds as adu
lts – Connecticut, New York, and
North Carolina. Ten states automatically prosecute 17 ye
ar olds as adults – Georgia, Illinois,
Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Hamps
hire, South Carolina, Texas, and
Wisconsin.

JJDPA Fact Book
2
How many youth are tried as adults?
Despite the fact that many of these state laws were intended t
o prosecute the most serious
offenders, most children who are tried in adult courts are there
no matter how minor their offense
.
Estimates range on the number of youth prosecuted in adult cour
t nationally. Some researchers
believe as many as 200,000 children are prosecuted every yea
r.
How does "trying youth as adults" impact youth?
Youth tried in the adult criminal court:
Face the same penalties as adults, including life without par
ole;
Will receive little or no education, mental health treatmen
t, or rehabilitative programming;
Will obtain an adult criminal record which may significantl
y limit their future education and
employment opportunities;
Are at greater risk of assault and death in adult jails and prisons
with adult inmates;
Will be more likely to re-offend than youth not exposed to the ne
gative influences and toxic
culture of the adult criminal punishment system.
What is the impact on youth of color?
Youth of color are most negatively affected by policies to try
youth as adults. For example, in the
Building Blocks for Youth report,
Youth Crime/Adult Time: Is Justice Served?
3
key findings reveal
disturbing aspects in the transfer of youth, especially yout
h of color, to the adult criminal court. The
findings show overrepresentation and disparate treatment of y
outh of color, and raise serious
questions about the fairness and appropriateness of prosec
uting youth in the adult criminal system.
Does trying youth as adults reduce crime and increase publ
ic safety?
Study after study has demonstrated that youth transferred to adult
court are more likely to re-offend
than those sent to the juvenile justice system for the same ty
pe of offense and with similar prior
records. Of those youth who committed new crimes, those sent
to adult court re-offended at
around twice the rate of those sent to juvenile court.

"Real men can defend themselves from unarmed kids without having to shoot them." Yes, that is what I am saying.

"But Zimmermann apparently isn't a man so he was helpless against a child." It is Zimmermann who makes the latter claim (being helpless against a child). He uses that claim to justify his use of the lethal force of his firearm to defend himself from a child. That's his defense not my defense of him.

Seeing that that is his defense, I would agrue that Zimmermann admits to not being a real man. So the former part of that sentence (I underlined it for you) is what Mr. Big is saying based on the latter part of that same sentence (the not underlined part) which captures what Mr. Zimmermann and his defenders are saying.

Got it now or is it still too hard to grasp?

Now you're starting to look even more silly than I thought is possible. You go down the Gary path providing evidence that contradicts the point you trying to prove. Yes, sometimes non-adults (children) are treated as adults in court. That doesn't make the child an adult, though.

I remember years back when I was working on my wife's K3 visa, there were taxes due to be filed. We had my wife treated as a US resident for that purpose regardless of the fact that 1) she was in fact not a US resident and 2) had in fact never set foot into the US at that time. So, without actually being a US resident, the law allowed her to be treated as such for certain purposes. Same with these children that end up in adult court. They're treated as adults for the purposes of the trial but that does not make them adults.

Double fail. Again. Wanna go for another triple?

I see. So you saying GZ isn't a man and me saying you called him a puss is to very different things in your book. Interesting

So GZ felt helpless when TM attacked him.. I think I will put you on the defense witness list.

He's really just past reasoning on this one.

sometimes I get so obliviously absurd I hope any rational adult ( adult can mean anyone over 16 in many criminal jurisdictions) will know I am just messing around .

Although I think i could easily kick JB arese, more so than TM. I would also get more pleasure out of kicking JB #######.
