It's completing 11 days since we got approved and I just checked the timelines and I saw many others waiting since May 14th the Number from NVC.

I'd like to understand why they are taking so long time to give us the number.

Please if someone has any information share with us.

Thank you

latest info on nvc is that they are swamped

have you confirmed your case has been received by nvc? the letter from uscis saying it has been sent is not always accurate.

I have been approved for over six weeks and my file is still sitting at that stupid office that approved it.. not that I am just sitting back and waiting for something to come in the mail ;)

if they have not received it, you have to wait 15 business days until you can ask nvc to research

if they have received it, it has been taking up to 20 business days to get a case number

I know every case is different, but if you wanna have an idea about when your interview will be, I would suggest looking into members in the same Embassy as you. Doing a quick check, I see that, after the embassy receives your stuff, it takes around a month to the interview.

I was starting to worry about my case getting to NVC after NOA2 May 17th ... since there are a small but growing number of horror stories here about USCIS never sending the files on, or sending them to the wrong place, etc ... and some filers several days ahead of mine (May 18, 21, 24) had already gotten through NVC completely.

However, today when I called after the agonizing weekend of wondering whether I might be in for more delays, my case was there! Just today. Hasn't been shipped out yet but I did get my case number.

It took mine 17 calendar days after the NOA2 to just arrive at NVC. (10 business days, they say to allow 15 business days max.) If your NOA2 is only May 24, you're still within very normal times, I think!

Also note that CR1/IR1 cases are processed much more slowly. With spousal visas it seems to take on average of a month, if not two, to get to NVC. K-1 does go faster and is usually about 7-10 business days -- not calendar days.

Relationship since April 2006

AOS filed November 19, 2013, EAD/AP received January 30, 2014, interview and AOS Approval on February 27, 2014.

ROC filed December 3, 2015, NOA1 12/4/15, Biometrics 12/31/15, ROC Approval on June 16, 2016, 10-Year Green Card received June 22, 2016.

N400 filed September 14, 2023, same day acceptance and Biometric Reuse notice, Interview on 2/13/24: Passed and same day oath. ALL DONE WITH USCIS.
