Hello friends,

Pls. help.

My husband moved to a different address before I arrived. It's in the same state but a different city.Earlier today,He called USCIS and agent told us to go to their website and have the address change online. My husband also informed her that we've gotten married last friday.

I'm just pretty confused about the A- number, how will I know my A-number?Where do I find it?And what about this field that asks me about ("IF NOT A PERMANENT RESIDENT,MY STAY IN THE US EXPIRES ON").What date should I put?Is it the date indicated on the CBP form 1-94 which is the departure record stapled on my passport.Pls. help.

And how do I go about changing my last name with Social Security?I just got married friday, and when I get there earlier the guy told me to report my change of last name with the DHS (dept. of Homeland Security),so do I have anything that I need to show the SS guy to have my last name changed.

You just arrived on a K-1 and have yet to file for AOS. There is no need to file the AR-11. Since you are not an immigrant USCIS doesn't even have an address on file for you. You need to file for AOS.

But you will need to know some of these things to file AOS.

1. Your A-number is on your NOA2 from the I-129F.

2. Yes, your stay expires with your I-94.

3. If you haven't gotten a SSN yet than get one in your maiden name and change the name on it later. Or just fight to get it in married name now with the marriage cert. The person you spoke to was wrong.
