are you sure the notice doesn't say accepted, because that is unusually fast

this is the timeline for her case:

the petition was accepted on the 30/4

they assigned an A# on the 5/8

on 31/5 the case status was changed to Approved and they mailed the approval notice.

My friend is a US citizen and she is orginally from Syria, and her finace is Syrian

Actually 2 days before the approval, last wednesday. she requested an expediate processing throguh her congressman, however today she recieved a denial response from her congressman See below, the respnse from USCIS to the Congressman

We thought the application was approved because of the expediate request, however it shows that they approved it before the recieved the request from the Congressman !

Well, there is a civil war in Syria so may be they are just helping people get out before they die. Especially if those people are loved by US citizens. Now, this is just my guess, but it would make sense. I've seen some expedited cases from Cuba and Haiti. I would imagine if one was trying to marry someone from North Korea, they would be expedited as well.

Anyways, not to derail the topic too much, I hope OP's friend has a quick and SAFE! journey into United States!
