Fiancee's interview on November 24th, 2006 "wait til you hear from us" called embassy they say they are doing a routine verification of information. I suspect it's because she changed her first name on her BC.

Jamrok, you said in a later post that a lady at the USE informed you for sure that any Birth Certificate with a name change or correction automatically went to AR. Assuming this is correct, that means that Lilia and I have a guaranteed AR in store AFTER our interview.

Does anyone have any idea what the USE actually does in the AR process? Would it help if I prepaid a certified copy from NSO and had it delivered directly from NSO to USE with our case number on it, in advance of our expected February interview?

Can anything at all be done to avoid an eminent AR for a name spelling correction on Lilia's birth certificate? I need some help here. Please. :help::luv:

Someone needs to call in on this, or all of us because I may be in the similar situation with my fiancee. Her last name was misspelled on her birth certificate and we didn't know until we got it, so she had to go through a 5 month long process of correcting it.

Meh, nothing to see here.

Rob, as I said before the lady that i spoke with at the Embassy told me " Now we are doing review on all cases were the BC has changes or late registration" I said Maam, she offered all documentation to support the First name change and she told me that it does not matter....they will conduct their own review. I intend to call back next week and speak to supervisor. The interview went VERY well, she said the consul joked with her all during the interview and even commented that with her credentials she should be able to land a very good executive position here.

Dear Robhankins,

Even you order BC and send it directly to USE,they want to inquire directly. And they will not let you know if you're on AR until you received this 221g paper stating "wait until you hear from us".Going with her on her interview won't help too coz they will ask you to wait outside the interview room.Just hope and pray that she will not be put on AR after her interview.Good luck.
