Just got off the phone with nvc. They gave me the good news that our case was received by them today. They gave me our case number but with all my excitement I forgot to ask where to check on updates on our case, can happens next? What can I do on my part to hurry things along or how long it takes for them to send the paperwork to the embassy in peru. Can anyone stir me in the right direction?

I got an email from the consulate today and we booked our interview. Its not until Feb 12!!! Our NOA2 expires on Jan 9. Does anyone know what we have to do? Do we have to call someone to extend it?

I think in that case they auto-extend it. No worries. It's booked, you're golden.

Yup the interview dates for Montreal are basically a thousand year wait at the moment haha. You can play the refresh game like I am planning to to attempt to get a sooner date..but no guarantees. I figure we waited this long so we can handle waiting some more...all we know now is waiting haha! It will be nice to not wait anymore :)

I envy you guys.

(And regret ever buying this house!!!)

Well, if I don't have a response from nvc in my email inbox come Monday I'll try spending some time on hold with them...

...frustrating. Even though all I'll be doing is contacting Vancouver begging for extensions.

Hey everyone. I just got the email yesterday. From what I can tell, I believe we were approved. The email states:

"On October 24, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly."

Can anyone confirm this?

waiting game...whee.

Don't worry. I'm pretty sure that CVC tossed our petition somewhere...hidden....

...hmm, how many business days should I give NVC to return my email before I start pesting?

I'd give it a week. Can you call them at all?

well, it's been two business days. Sadly, starting Friday, I'm covering desks for the next couple weeks...so the lawyers I'm helping might be less than impressed with me hanging out on hold on personal matters. RAAAAAAAAAAWR.

(why am I calling from work? cause if I call off my cell, 1. $$, 2. "can you hear me now? How about now?"

good luck calling...I tried 13 times on Thursday, 17 times on Friday and I have tried 8 times this morning. All I get is the busy signal, the only time I was able to talk to someone at NVC was October 8th after being on hold for 48 minutes and now I can't even get through to be put on hold. I have given up trying to get my case number over the phone. I am just going to wait for my letter to come in the mail and go from there
