Me and you are in the same boat. My NOA1 was also June 3rd and still waiting while everyone else around me is approved or RFE. My case hasn't been touched since the 15th of August.

Yes, but your case was in Vermont and got transferred. Mine's in California and it seemed like they were approving things fast... except for my case. :(

Has anyone filled out the DS 160 form (that replaces DS156, DS 156k, and DS 230)? Could you tell me what you put on the question that asks how long the applicant intends to stay for?

Thanks...but I think its a date only option. Someone on another thread recommended that you just put the furthest out date available.

There are lots of people waiting. We are close to the 5 month mark and it does suck- but don't put any negative energy into. it will only make the situation more unbearable. it will happen. you will get approved. it is just going to take some more time.

Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. But we haven't received anything yet. I'm assuming our packet 3 will be sent out sometime this week hopefully. Is there anything we can do now or do we just wait for that?
Thanks! And good luck everyone :)

I finally called DOS to find out more about the Administrative Processing status that my petition was updated to and DOS stated that a packet 3 was sent on 9/26 and rec'd response on 9/30. I was confused and said they must have us mixed up with someone else. The rep said to contact the embassy, which I did. I rec'd the packet 3 email reply and letter of next steps to do. Glad I didn't wait 60 days like I was going to do. BTW, Moscow iv-fiance page states at very bottom that DS-160 is required for any case not rec'd by Oct 15. Guess that makes it optional for those who wish to use that form before.

Continued good luck to all of us in this process! content.gif

Sept 9 NOA2. I've been waiting patiently for the NVC to receive; calling every week. I know that petitions out of the CSC have been averaging 40-45 days after NOA2 and I've was at only a mere 31....but I had a little time on my hands yesterday. I called the USCIS and was transferred to a case worker. The line was busy but they had one of those call back deals where you leave your number in they call you back when it is your turn in line. When the case worker called I explained my situation, expecting him to tell me that the CSC has approved a bunch of cases lately and a backlogged in sending to the NVC. He told me to hold on one moment and came back and said it "appeared" from what he is seeing that my case was sent out yesterday (Wednesday). Good news right? I called the NVC today, not expecting my case to have arrived and entered but to check anyway. I got a particularly snippy operator (which is odd since most have been really great) who gave me the whole "it can take up to 8 weeks" non-sense when she looked up my case and told me the NVC had not received it yet. When I told her I had contacted a caseworker at the USCIS who informed me that my case had been sent out Wednesday, this operator says "it doesn't matter if it was sent out. It can still take up to 3 weeks after that". (something other operators at the NVC told me does not happen----that they enter cases as soon as they receive them) Who knows what to believe anymore. This experience has shown me a sample of just how inefficient the system is. No one knows what anyone else is doing. Anyway ...day 32 since NOA2. 13 days before I hit the average.
