it's the same thing NVC had told me.they said it was normal for all K1 to go through admin processing,when i clearly see others case been sent out 1-3 days after NVC receives it.

Let's hope ours will get shipped out quickly! I wasn't aware they did AP at this stage. Thought it only happened after the interview :(

this is all new info for me,as i had the believe that they only assign case numbers and send them off right away.anyway i am hoping the AP won't for too long.i am praying that they will send it out this week.fingers crossedsmile.png

Just called the NVC to receive our case number. We did get it! smile.png

However, he told me it was just entered into the system today, and is undergoing necessary administrative processing. Is this normal? unsure.png

Administrative Processing is a mysterious term. From what I've read, it could mean anything from sitting on someones' desk waiting for processing, to they found something to check on further... or just that you're unlucky enough to be selected for standard review of everything. The thing that i'm realizing is AP can happen at any stage in the process. Not only at NVC or after interview at consulate... seems that it could go into AP at each agency, if somebody were really unlucky.

If anyone knows more about what could be checked in AP at the various stages, please let us know.

Good luck to you in getting to the Consulate. It seems that AP at NVC is more or less standard rechecking of information so it is (usually) over in a few days - month. smile.png

Well, if we happen to go over the 5 months wait what would you suggest doing? Calling or sending an e-request? It just feels like everyone in California got approved or got an RFE already and we've been left behind.

Tomorrow's going to be 4 months and a week, feeling a bit down. :/

Me and you are in the same boat. My NOA1 was also June 3rd and still waiting while everyone else around me is approved or RFE. My case hasn't been touched since the 15th of August.

17th Oct, 2013 - NOA2 Email Notification
27th Jan, 2014 - Visa Interview - Refused Visa eligible for waivers I601 and I212
23rd Sep, 2014 - Visa Received

2nd Nov, 2014 POE Newark

6th Nov, 2014 - Married

7th Nov, 2014 - AOS, EAD, AP applications mailed to Chicago

10th Nov, 2014 - Applications delivered and Receipt Date

14th Nov, 2014 - NOA1 Date

20th Nov, 2014 - Received NOA1 hard copies

29th Nov, 2014 - Letter for Biometrics Appointment. Appt date - 12/10/2014

1st Dec, 2014 - Walkin biometrics done

13th Dec, 2014 - RFE email followed by Hard Copy on 12/19/2014 for Marriage Certificate

20th Dec, 2014 - Mailed RFE response with certified Marriage License and Certificate

21st Feb, 2015 - Received notice of potential interview waiver by mail

2nd Mar, 2014 - email received for EAD approved
