transfer to TX - August 9

I got the text and email today saying my case had been updated. Then when I went on, it just said Alien Registration number changed. Anyone get this kind of update right before RFE or Approval????

I had not been touched since transfer to Texas!

You will get another update whitin couple of hours (worst case in area couple days)with the approval or RFE. Congrats!

We got a wonderful surprise this morning. We called the NVC to ask about our case status and they said it was sent to the consulate on the 19th. Montreal here we come!

NOA2!!! We got approved last night

Now I am just super nervous because we were unable to get a copy of his shot records from the health center. We were going to go ahead and start getting some of the shots. But, now I am scared to do so because I know some of the vaccines can affect the test results at the medical exam.

Any suggestions??

And to those still waiting, I had checked cases over 1,000 numbers away from mine, and none had been touched. So, I honestly wouldnt pay any attention to the cases around you.

Anyone here got approved and still waiting for the email from USCIS that the original petition has been sent to NVC? We got approved 18th of September , but until now we haven't heard from USCIS that our case is being ship to NVC, no nothing, we got our Noa2 hard copy..

But in our NOA 2 hard copy is says they have sent our originL visa petition to the department of state national visa center, but thought we will receiving a text or email from USCIS that they have sent our original petition to NVC , just like others, so I'm wondering if they held our papers or what..

I'm hoping to get the appointments the same week so I don't have to make 2 trips. First I need to figure out packet 3 though. I've looked through it online and I have a lot of questions about it. Have you done of it yet?

Same here! Would rather not make 2 trips. I have mostly all of packet 3 done (was thinking I was going to get to send it way before now), what questions did you have about it?

I was approve September 18.we received our NOA2 hard-copy in the mail already.but USCIS haven't update us if our case is transfer or not.have you tried calling NVC to see if they had receive it?

I was wondering if I put him as a spouse on the application since we will be getting married right after I get there. They also ask about my intended occupation. I don't have any idea what I'm going to do once I can work there. Do you think that matters? They also ask about previous trips to the US. I've flown through the US on connecting flights where I had to go through customs. I don't know if these count. I also lived near the Maine border for a few months so I have no idea which exact dates I entered and left the US. And on the second page of the packet there is a check list of things we need. Do I send them to Montreal with the packet 3 forms or do I just gather them at this point and bring them to the interview?

I put myself as single, no spouse, because we aren't married yet. There are some example forms on here for those forms that really helped me out. I think for intended occupation I put unknown, and that I intended to work when I got work authorization . I found out all the dates I had gone to the US, & they wouldn't fit on the space they gave me so I attached a page to the form with all of the dates. I think as long as you have a general idea of the dates that is all that matters, I don't think exact dates are a big deal if you don't know them. The checklist you just check off that you have those documents (put n/a by what doesn't apply to you) and you send the signed checklist attached to the forms. Don't sent the forms on the checklist, you are just stating that you have those in your possession to bring to the interview.

Anyone with an RFE, have you gotten your approval yet since replying to it? Our response was just accepted today, and it says it can take up to 60 days for a decision to be made

Aw.. .. My fiancé is going to call the NVC tomorrow if they receive our case already because we also got nothing from USCIS after getting NOA2 hard copy..
