Just got my rfe hard copy in yesterday. They are asking for intent to marry. Anyone have any tips or a good sample of the letter? I'm also sending my price quotes for the places I asked to hold the wedding dinner at, along with rings and my tux quote. Any other info would be appreciated. Thanks best of luck to everyone

There's also an example/template on here somewhere. If nobody else beats me to it, I'll hunt it down once I'm in the office. Gimmie a couple hours.

Yes, and someone posted it on here already if you scroll up a bit you'll see it. Remember to sign in BLUE ink, that's cause the intent to marry must be sent from you and your partner and it has to be an original copy and sometimes if it's black ink they might think it's a photocopy. It's silly but maybe it'll help them see it's an original right away.

Linky linky!!! We ended up using this one as our letter of intent. Seemed to work ;)

And J & L gives good advice. ANYTHING you have to sign, should be signed in BLUE ink, just to avoid trouble.

So they need to be hand written? We can not print them off and sign them? We did just get an RFE for intent to marry (which I know I included, and we had both printed the same letter, but on different dates and signed them. It also says "You may also submit copies of any evidence you have to establish your mutual intent to marry one another". What is this exactly?

I would imagine the evidence of mutual intent to marry would be things like receipts for wedding dress, wedding venue etc...... I didn't send any of that and we didn't get rfe..... Good luck, I hope you're approved very soon...

I'd think the statement from both of you would count for that...I mean, we don't even have receipts for wedding dress, venue, etc...why? Cause holy goodness trying to plot a move you're not sure when it'll happen and coordinate some big fancy wedding? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA...oh goodness. NOT that ambitious.
