No final divorce decree

I'm overly distraught this week. This is the second time that I've filed for immigration for some crack headed man and found out that he was just using me. In this case though uscis actually helped me in determine it when they sent me a notice of intent to deny pending a final divorce decree. The paper he gave me was a statement of divorce that was notarized but not a final decree. Now he is running around trying to get some kind of decree for immigration but I want to stop the process bcz he should have been divorced before we married 7 months ago... I know I can withdraw my petition but does anyone have any info on how I can get an annulment in the state of NC? How can I prove he's still married other than he refuses to send me a final divorce decree and just keeps telling to wait bcz he's working on it?

Ps the statement of divorce he gave me says he divorced his wife in another country while he was in this country seeking asylum... Do u think if I show that to the judge it will be sufficient?

Go down to your local courthouse and ask how to

do an annulment... any court you go to explain to

the judge the man cant prove he is divorce & you are

no longer interested in a marriage that may be a fraud

marriage, don't sign I 864 , clearly the guy is securing

immigrant benefits thru you if he previously applied for

asylum....next wedding try it state-side . goodluck

What country was he divorced in? I don't know what a final divorce decree means for Arab countries since divorce seems a lot quicker/less hassle there than here.

In any case, sorry for all you've endured with that jerk! At least you found out before he got here. He was seriously trying to claim asylum?
