Good news to report June-ers. Got a letter in the mail yesterday saying our petition was APPROVED!! Weird tho, I didn't get an email/text update notifying me of a change thru USCIS. I even checked the

From all those cases who got transferred to a LOCAL office, were there any who got an interview? Or any who got approved with no issues?

My status states "The CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED was transferred(09/17/2013)and is now being processed at a USCIS office."

It doesn't state which office it was transferred to, so I'm confused. Any idea on where it was transferred to?

I got the same status update. They are transferring cases from vsc to csc due to workloads, its a known fact and is stated on the uscis website. My ROC approval letter came from my local office, as did everyone elses that got this update status notice. It doesn't mean you are in line for an RFE or an interview, but of course anything is possible. If you browse the previous 20 pages of this forum then you will see that this is normal.

I got the same status update. They are transferring cases from vsc to csc due to workloads, its a known fact and is stated on the uscis website. My ROC approval letter came from my local office, as did everyone elses that got this update status notice. It doesn't mean you are in line for an RFE or an interview, but of course anything is possible. If you browse the previous 20 pages of this forum then you will see that this is normal.

Biometrics July 15th

Transfer notice VSC to USCIS office September 17th

ROC approval letter recvd dated October 10th

New permanent Green Card recvd October 17th

I think I will get RFE since I'm a divorce waiver and I don't have any financial joint stuff.

I was tranferred on 9/6/13 and still haven't got RFE or anything. I'm pretty sure that I will get RFE so I just wanna receive it asap sad.png

I think you will find that an interview is mandatory or almost certain for a waiver. Your immigration attorney should be answering these questions for you. If you don't have an attorney then you should probably consider getting one.

RFEs - maybe, interviews - not necessarily. If an interview is mandatory, USCIS would not have allowed you to go through a document-approval process. I would expect interview to be part of the process and be noted on the i-751 instructions but I haven't seen that clearly indicated.

Some of us here with waivers have had approvals with no interviews. I'm not one of them so I can't speak for them but I assume they are experiences people can reference.

With that said, it's not wrong to expect interviews but one will have to get an RFE first before speculating interviews.

9/21/13 - Submitted RFE response

9/23/13 - RFE response rec'd at VSC

(about 2 months later)

11/21/13 - Service request via Tier 1 submitted

12/11/13 - Response to service request rec'd - vague info about processing times

12/12/13 - Service request via Tier 2 submitted

12/10/13 - APPROVED!!! (letter rec'd 12/14/13)

12/16/13 - 2nd Service request response rec'd

12/17/13 - Card production email/text rec'd (online case updated)!

12/24/13 - Notification rec'd via email regarding card mailed on 12/23/13 (online case updated as well)

12/26/13 - 10-yr card rec'd!

One thing I have learned on this journey:

There is no such thing as an "overkill" evidence package. Submit anything and everything you can. Who knows what will prevent you from getting an RFE.

Right, the procedure would be RFE first then interview. I just don't like RFE since I don't have anything else to send so I'd rather to have an interview. I'm so hoping to receive something by Christmas.

My case status has been changed to "Card/ Document Production" today

"On November 19, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

No Approval letter, but change in online status.... Interestingrolleyes.gif

I got an email update today about card production. Our case was transferred on September 9th - original NOA date was June 26th - so, whole process was about 5 months. Not bad at all! I also called the customer service number to update my address with them, which was the most difficult and lengthy part of this entire process..

03/04/2011 - Day 1 - AOS -package signed for at USCIS

03/09/2011 - Day 6 - E-mail notification received for all petitions

03/10/2011 - Day 7 - Checks cashed

03/11/2011 - Day 8 - NOA 1 received for all 4 forms

03/21/2011 - Day 18 - Biometrics letter received, biometrics scheduled for 04/14/2011

03/31/2011 - Day 28 - Successful walk-in biometrics done
