Congratulations everyone! Still waiting on the good news on this end. Quick question I got a notice that said my case has been received at the new service center yesterday, this is after it was transferred to CSC from Vermont in September. Is there anyone else who went through this and their timeframe from then until approval? And is this what people refer to when they say last touched on so and so date? energy.gifenergy.gifenergy.gifenergy.gifenergy.gif

Most all of the transferred cases such as myself received a letter in the mail indicating their transfer to a "local" service center. Though the letter says local, it might not be the case for all since many people here reported their case was transferred from Vermont to California, as well as mine. The approval time frame varies. If you look at the most recent time table posted on this thread, you can see the people who were transferred and approved. The time frame is different per case. I see many people who were transferred earlier & later date than mine and they already got approved.

The "touched" is the last date a USCIS officer touched your file. If you log on into your USCIS account (assuming you already have done this), under the LAST UPDATED section, you will find the date when your case was last "touched". Also, most people have reported (according to the table on this thread anyway) that they got a letter within a 4-6 weeks after their cases were transferred. I haven't received anything and I am getting really antsy waiting for an approval letter lol and I'm sure I'm not the only one :)

themerlins, Not much to do but wait, right? lol. I keep reminding myself that the average time is 6 months but with people reporting they got their approval letter I can't help but wonder where the heck is mine hehe.

My last updated date is the same as yours. I wonder if our files are stuck in the same pile...

This might be pure coincidence but I made a call that might have nudged them into action. I was fretting when I saw people were getting their approvals and I kept logging in to check the status online everyday. My 2 kids are on my application and I sent in a change of address notification during this I-751 process. I noticed one of their cases had not been "touched" since the initial application, the other 2 show they were "touched" on the date they received the change of address. So I called to check that the addresses have been changed on all 3 applications. I was told that the address hadn't been changed on one for some reason, but they changed it for me right there on the phone (I was transferred to a higher level representative).Letters of approval came for all 3 of us 2 days later, dated the day I called.

So if you have a genuine reason to call, do...might just trigger something good!

I think they slow us down a little bit to speed up recent transfers for May filer. I saw some poor May filer got transferred on 9/17 but got approval on 10/03.

Okay, cestlaviecherie...I hope you get good news today! Our approval letter FINALLY came (mailed from St. Albans, VT...go figure!). Approval date is 10/4, posted 10/7. Interestingly enough, there's a sticky thing covering the name of the director and the letter is signed by an "Acting Director." I wonder if this has anything to do with the delay?

At any rate...updating the list for myself. Hopefully more will come by the end of the day! *fingers crossed!*

Okay, cestlaviecherie...I hope you get good news today! Our approval letter FINALLY came (mailed from St. Albans, VT...go figure!). Approval date is 10/4, posted 10/7. Interestingly enough, there's a sticky thing covering the name of the director and the letter is signed by an "Acting Director." I wonder if this has anything to do with the delay?

At any rate...updating the list for myself. Hopefully more will come by the end of the day! *fingers crossed!*

You guys looks like were transferred to CSC but got Approval letter from Local Office! Which office address was in the NOA2 sent out after the transfer. Thanks for your response.

6/21/11 - NOA2 (NOA1 on 3/25/11) - took a month to get to NVC
3/21/11 - I-130 sent to USCIS Lockbox, Chicago.

Hi themerlins, is your transferred date is the receipt date or notice date on NOA2, or the date you received the text that said your transfer HAS BEEN PROCESSED AND AT THE LOCAL OFFICE?
