It took exactly a week after we sent our package for the NOA1 to arrive, and yes, the NOA1 is the one year extension. smile.png

Sure! Congrats on getting your biometrics letter! I hope we get ours soon. But I hope they give us at least a three week in advance notice so I can go with my husband to Portland... Our local office is a 5 hour drive away!

As for how much notice I got - I'm really surprised that they were able to schedule me for a little over 2 weeks... 2.5, I guess.

Are you sure the closest office to you is 5 hours away?? I honestly had NO idea there was one down the street from me - literally, on the same street, 5 minutes away. I thought I was going to have to go to LA or San Bernadino to get it done, since I had to go to SB for my green card interview and Riverside or something like that for my biometrics before... so maybe your biometrics notice will surprise you and have a location much closer! :) I hope so!

No, it's Portland... The only USCIS office in the whole state of Oregon. We had to go there for my husband's biometrics when he did AOS. And actually I just checked the mail and he got his biometrics notice today, it's for July 2. I'm a little disappointed they didn't give us more notice then that... When my husband did AOS, they gave us a month notice for the biometrics and a month notice for the interview. I just wanted to plan a little trip around his biometrics, see some of our friends up a little farther north in Seattle while we are up there... I can ask my boss if I can get that day off but I don't feel right asking for more then a day off with not enough notice, which for my job has to be at least three weeks in advance, I am already requesting the 4th of July off... Oh well. I don't think it's worth rescheduling, they might not give us much notice the second time as well. Plus I wouldn't want him to reschedule unless he couldn't make it at all. Luckily with his job I know they will give him the day off, so he might have to drive up there by himself.

Hello everybody.

CBM, My biometrics will be in San Bernardino too, I was looking in the USCIS web site and San Bernardino was what it shows as my local office according to my zip code. ( https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=LO) it looks like the appointment for biometrics is close to 1 month after receiving the NOA1, so I am getting prepare, I hope my appointment will not be too early because we have small childrens and I am pregnant and right now morning time is not easy for me....

Thank you for answer my question about overnight my I-751 but the usps told us that even if we send it by priority mail the estimate delivery will be tomorrow because we live close to the CSC, so we just sent it by priority mail.

Birdygirl, I'm glad you were able to request the days off! It stinks that you have to make such a trek of it for fingerprints but at least you can have a little getaway - I love those!

I checked our bank account last night and my check was cashed. Woke up this morning (6-15) and received my NOA1!

Now, anxiously waiting for the biometrics notice. dancin5hr.gif Do you guys and gals know whether I can request for an I-551 stamp during my biometrics appointment? Or will it be a seperate appointment? Also, will they take my expired green card?

Ritasean, is the date on your NOA1 June 6? Because we are putting the date on the NOA1, not the date we received it.
