I see the website has posted appointments for June. We are not listed. Do they update that list during the month or does this mean we will be getting a July Appointment?

I don't know how accurate that schedule is. I'd count on July. If she get's it sooner, bonus.

ETA: By accurate I mean I don't know if it is set in stone, or if they add interviews as the month goes on.

Looking at old time lines. It looks like average time between mailing packet 3 and the interview date is 20 - 25 days.

It will really suck if we need to wait another month for the interview, but I guess it is what it is.

Avg. Days
btw I-129F 2nd NOA
and Interview 64

*************************************************************

Above is for K-1s so far for 2013 out of Bangkok. 64 days average from NOA2 to Interview. So looking at your timeline, I'd plan on July.

Your case is totally different. You are IR-1/CR-1. You have all kinds of paperwork to send NVC etc. that K visas don't have to do after NOA2. I hope you've been researching that because it's kinda up to you how fast you get through NVC. Can be a couple weeks, can be 3 months.

Gosh that's a lot of statistical data.

I realize it's pointless to worry about it. It is what it is. I'm just killing time.

The difference I see in the individual timelines versus the stats is some people wait weeks before returning the packet three. I think that tends to skew the overall data.

When you look at the date the packet 3 was sent, the wait time for the interview is about 3 weeks.

I have and I think we have everything together to send as soon as it's needed. Plus, I expect to follow the shortcut guide here to try and shave off a couple of more weeks.

Right on!

I think in the long run you'll be glad you went the CR-1 route. Less B.S. to deal with once she gets here. Start calling that NVC number daily on Monday to get your case number. I doubt they'll have it next week, but not too long after that. Call them anyway.

ETA:

Make sure you use the Lingche shortcut. That one seems to be the best. There's one out there called Jame's shortcut, but I think it's pretty old.

I just read through the Lingche shortcut. Looks like a lot of work for the IR-1/CR-1 compared to the K-1. But I suppose we will need to go through all that after she gets here.

Actually you wont go through any of that. You'll have an entirely different process to go through for her to adjust status.
