June 2013 filer here!!! Got email & text that both my I-130 petitions (wife&son) were approved TODAY!!!!! WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!. Waiting for NOA2 hard copies now. Both had the same PD, (separate petitions though)

PD june 12th

Transfer to CSC December 23rd (Seems like CSC is the fastest uscis service center)

NOA2 January 9th

Wishing good luck to everyone still waiting. The wait is tough.....

Congratulations!!

just curious, how long after this I 130 approves how long is the process after that? the papers to the NVC? to process for the visa?

As Sukie mentioned I would definitely recommend reading up on your country's portal page including reviews from your embassy. Also take a look at the January NVC thread to see how things are going and to check the list of scheduled interviews -- you'll see the case complete and interview dates for each country so you know how long the wait is right now. Currently it looks like just getting files shipped to NVC and receiving a case number is taking about a month for most people.

Sounds like you received your expedite! I'll note it in the sheet. Hopefully that'll mean a quicker approval for you, it looks like Nebraska is just starting in on April cases.

I added another table to the sheet to show how long, on average, unapproved cases have been waiting at each service center. They're fairly neck and neck right now but that measure may become more significant (and varied) as time goes on.

Hello all,

I found this forum about two weeks ago. A great page for information. We were tranferred on christmas eve and today I saw that we were approved yesterday January 9th. We have not yet received hard copy, just the update on USCIS.

I guess next waiting game is NVC? Thank you all for a great forum.

Thanks for you wish, I hope so because back in September 2013 when I first requested an expedite service I got a reply was the following:

Type of service requested:

> -- Expedite

>

>

>The status of this service request is:

>

>Due to the high volume of expedite requests for this case type, we are strictly enforcing the criteria that has been set for these expedite requests. While your situation appears serious, you have not provided evidence of an extreme emergent need.

>

And this time I added some more reason and got different reply which they have forwarded the petition for expedite review. The waiting is really hard damn it.
