As far as I have seen, you need to cover any country in which you resided for more than six months, past the age of 16. How long ago that was does not seem to matter, based on what I read from the guides here on VisaJourney.

thank you for your information..Hope all of you get your approval soon because i know how it feel.God bless

Except for the US, right? Or am I getting that confused with my previous application for Canadian PR?

Ok people

Have not been around in a while.

Just wanted to let you know that we have an interview at US Embassy Paris on December 19th.

We are flying to the US on January 9, 2014.

It will have taken us 6 months and 9 days total, from NOA1 June 10, 2013 (and another 3-5 days to receive passport with visa), with an expedite process through NVC that went pretty smoothly (never heard of USCIS regarding our expedite request but NOA2 took 4 months and 5 days).

Best of luck to you all... I hope approvals are comming at a steady pace

06/10/2013 NOA1 I-130 Priority date (NBC @ Overland Park, KS)
07/30/2013 Requested Expedite Procedure via USCIS Hotline
08/15/2013 Sent a letter to the NBC/MSC regarding Expedite

10/15/2013 Case approved, Notice mailed

10/21/2013 Case shipped to the DHS/NVC

11/xx/2013 Received NOA2 hardcopy

Just checked my case status and:

On December 11, 2013, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing.

No emails or text messages yet, but yay!! Our PD was June 6, I think (don't have the NOA1 in front of me).

Our priority date is june 6, 2013 for I130. I have not heard anything from USCIS since i received NOA1. the depressing part is that our case info has not been updated online, everytime i under the receipt number, it says your case cannot be found at this time. I called USCIS n they said that we have received ur application and the processing time is 1 year, many of the cases are not updated on the website. But here on visajourney im seeing so many people getting atleast a letter or an update saying that there case has been transferred to some other office. In getting so heart broken n depressed, when will i get that notice, the wait seems forever. Im happy for those getting some progress but at the same time im soo worried about our case :(:(
