You were transferred because you are being expedited. Beneficiary is from the Philippines, USCIS is auto-expediting all of these cases because of the typhoon. No action required on your part.

Anything new here any transfers ...

The only transfers I've seen from May and later have been Philippines filers. You should really watch the March and April threads to see how they're progressing, it will give you an idea of when regular June filers will be due for some movement. Based on posts in those threads I can say it's not our time yet. I'm hoping that May filers will start getting transferred at the beginning of December, and maybe June filers will be in mid-December.

My understanding is that the transfers come with a notice saying a decision should be made within 60 days, so use that as your worst-case scenario. Based on the experiences of March filers, though, it looks like it's taking Nebraska 3-4 weeks on average to get from transfer to NOA2. Good luck!

Is this a transfer? I havn't really been paying attention, just waiting. I havn't recieved an email or letter yet (I'm filing from abroad) what does this mean?blink.png

My case status reads:

'On November 27, 2013, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.'

That's great news, I think. Why is transferring a signal that the application is close to approval? I'm a bit ignorant on the process between NOA1 to NOA2.

my case details:

I-130

NOA1 on 06/06/13

No expedite request

filed from New Zealand for New Zealand Immigrant

thanks

USCIS says you will hear a decision or a request for ref within 60days after the transfer. Now, it depends on which service center you got transferred to. From March and April filers, they got approval pretty much between 2-4 weeks after being transferred to Nebraska. Also Texas, within a month. Anyways, the worst case, you will wait for 2 months. Still a step closer! Congrats!

And thank you for the info. Looks like they are gonna start on June cases. Hope to hear more June movements soon! And, do we have a spreadsheet or something like that to record transfers and make out a trend, like the April and May filers?
