Have not yet received my NOA2 hardcopy.

As soon as ...

Hey rudyzn... My husband and i have been seriously thinking about about filling expedite... What's your input on that? If you can share your experience and under what criteria you filed for expedite. (If you don't mind of course)

Hi to all I-130 Filers

I have a question to ask. If you have knowledge about this please reply to this message.

I filed my I-130 on June 3. My PD is June 10, 2013. Its been long and rough journey for me because I'm so far away from my wife. She starting to lose hope because of this long process upon us. I'm reading on others forum and I stumble with this idea that people who file I-130 also applying for I-129F. They said its free since they filed I-130 petition, and you need to pay $1050 to adjust ur status in case it get appove.

My question is..

1. is this true? i can file I-129F together with my I-130 to get approved faster?

2. this will not affect my I-130? because if not, i dont mind paying that much as long it will get approve fast. I just really want to be with my wife so i dont mind spending. :'(

Please help..

Hi! We are new on here! :) we filed our i130, 485 and 765 in June and it was Recieved on 06/24/2013 at the Chicago lockbox. We then got a ROE for a tax statement for i485 from MSC, we sent that in and got a new date when they Recieved that. My question is, do we now count the June date which still stands for the i130 & i765 or do we consider the new date as a new count down start for all of them. Ugh I hate waiting but it's all worth it. Thanks!!

October 2009: we met.

April 28th 2011: we got married.

October 10th 2013: Sent requested initial documents

October 15th 2013: Evidence received

November 4th 2013: EAD card ordered

November 5th 2013: i485 ready for scheduling

November 9th 2013: EAD card received

December 13th 2013: Notification of interview notice mailed

The American government doesn't care about helping its citizens. It cares about ruling them.

There's no guarantee that filing the I-129F get your case approved more quickly, but there is a chance. You don't stand to lose anything by trying. Either the I-129F will get approved and you'll go on to get the K3 non-immigrant visa, in which case you'll end up paying for AOS, or the petitions will get lumped together and the I-130 will be approved, basically canceling out the I-129F. If you can afford the extra fees at the end and don't mind doing a little extra paperwork, go for it.

This thread is for the CR-1/IR-1, which is a different type of visa than what you've applied for. You might find more relevant information to your situation in the F-1 subforum :) That being said... receiving an RFE doesn't reset the clock on your processing time. If they ask you for more information and you send what's required, your approval shouldn't be too far behind.

Hi to everyone. I have just joined the group. It somehow helps knowing that there are a lot of couples in your same situation, that have chosen to follow the law and so are suffering the consequences.

Would you know if USCIS prioritize applications regarding beneficiaries from certain countries?

Hopefully by end of year we will all here something from USCIS......

Good luck to everyone!
