I just can't believe that they have us all waiting like this i just called uscis and i wass told that they can't tell anestimate time this is so ridiculous

What's your opinion on sending the 129? If you haven't heard anything back maybe it's not worth it. I thought they were faster than the I-130.

Did not know you had filed an I-129 right after your I-130... interesting to know what happens.

My priority date is June 10... 4 month mark!!

We filed June 8th '13 and received NOA1 13th June and clearly still in initial review and dont expect to hear anything until the end of the year. Its difficult for us all, but try keeping busy and it helps the time pass. I found myself constantly checking VJ but just impatient as there are many that have been waiting double the time we have. I miss my husband terribly, and havnt seen him since the beginning of May, and wont until Dec (for 3 weeks). Then the next time will be when i hopefully receive my visa and land in the U.S. I'm so great ful for the support from VJ and regular updates, as we can all feel very alone in these circumstances but simply not the case. much love to u all :-D

I haven't seen my husband since the end of May. He's back here in Ireland for Christmas, for a whole month! Can't wait, its the only thing that keeps me sane! We'll just have to pray for speedy approvals.

Noel, just out of curiosity: would it be easy for you to bring your husband to Ireland? I've read that EU immigration processes are a lot less taxing and bureaucratic than the U.S. process is and was curious if that's true. Thanks

Actually he's been here 3 times this year already, he has dual citizenship, Irish, born in Dublin, and US. So yes we could live here but we want to live in the US, on the Olympic Peninsula.

My husband has dual citizenship, Irish and American, he was born in Dublin so we could live here. But we want to live in America. But yes, as far as I know, it's easier to get a visa for Ireland. Haven't really done any research on this.

I looked into UK immigration options alongside US ones, the requirements were fairly similar. Income of 18,600 GBP/year, show proof of relationship, passport photos, etc. Their application is a bit more complex and the UK also has an English language requirement. You get 2.5 year "leave to remain" from a family visa, and have to renew that once for a total of 5 years in the UK before you can go on to apply for settlement ("indefinite leave to remain"). The process ends up being longer and more expensive when you account for all the steps, but their initial approval is lightning quick compared to the US.

Costs: only the issuance of municiple documents (marriage certificate, etc) and stamps. Not more than $50 total. The visa was FREE!

Time: 3 days

I renew every 3 years.

Having experienced such efficiency makes this I-130 process all the more frustrating.

Yes, by the looks of it the US has a terrible spousal visa process compared to other countries' more sensible, efficient processes. So dumb....

It looks like we've all seen our significant other around the same time! I last saw my babe in May to celebrate his bday! Can't wait to travel to South Africa for 2-3 months (as visa allows for visitors) to see him for that time!
