You have no way of knowing what exactly they were filing for from the USCIS site. Looking at random numbers gives one no information whatsoever. On VJ when i look at Igor's list i see 0 approvals from May for IR-1/CR-1 from NBC. So check your facts.

Actually, there is a May filer that was approved. They must have not updated their timeline yet. So. maybe you should check your facts?

I sort by sending date, so it doesn't show since sending-wise it was still April. I know about this one, yes. If you look at it from NOA1 perspective - ok, there was 1, 79 still pending. *shrugs* But hey, this is 1/80th better than 0.

Don't have a timeline? Don't know how to get started with it? Do it for the statistics sake: VJ video guide

Filing for a USC spouse visa (IR-1/CR-1) and not sure what comes next? Check out the VJ IR-1/CR-1 guide

Want to know what's happening with your case? Here's the USCIS tracking page (get an account and see if the case's been 'touched'!). Don't get your hopes up though, some cases never even appear there despite being successfully processed.

Agreed! 1/80th is definitely better than 0. Let's hope we see more in the coming weeks.

Timeline

Just found this site so thought I'd post a bit here.

Got married November 30th, 2012 in Japan. Filed from Japan via the Chicago Lockbox, got my case number back on June 4th, 2013. Just sitting and waiting now. Status on page is "Initial Review".

My case number starts with MSC so I think that is a good thing from what I've been reading?

Just wondering if there is any hope of finishing all of this and getting my wife's visa by December....or at least by March....

Hello and welcome! :)

Your MSC number means you're at the National Benefits Center - probably the Overland Park, Kansas location that just opened this week, as that's where we other June filers have been routed to. There's a hefty backlog waiting there, but they just got started adjudicating petitions a few days ago, so hopefully we'll have a better idea about where we stand by the end of the month.

Unfortunately there's not really any chance of getting your wife's visa by December. Even March is an optimistic estimate for full visa approval at this point. It's possible you'll get your NOA2 approval at the end of this year, but I don't think any of us is holding our breath for that either. Plenty of February filers are still waiting for their NOA2, so that's 8+ months for them just in the first stage. It takes a couple more months to get through NVC after that and then possibly a couple more for an interview, depending on how quickly the embassy can schedule her in. It's not unreasonable to expect the process to take a year or more as things stand right now :(

Well, supposedly the Overland Park Division 8 area dedicated to processing stand-alone I-130s has been operational for at least one week. I know not all petitioners are on VJ, but don't you think they would have approved some this week? I know BOS_LHR runs stats a lot...have we seen any I-130s approvals from this week (that would have been at the Overland Park facility)???

Even if it is true that they are now dedicated to processing stand-alone I-130's...wouldn't they have to do background securtiy checks that takes at least weeks?
