I've been on Google over the last week, looking for any announcements about Division 8 in Overland Park. I've checked the local Kansas newspapers, the USCIS site, the AILA site, and every site that I think might have any snippet of info. And, no luck.

The only GOOD thing is that the end of USCIS' fiscal year is next Monday, and Overland Park Division 8 was supposed to be up and running by the end of the fiscal year. I had hoped that maybe, just maybe, they'd started LAST Monday.

Guess we should start monitoring the May 2013 I-130 Filers forum to see if anyone has any news yet!!!

I've been on Google over the last week, looking for any announcements about Division 8 in Overland Park. I've checked the local Kansas newspapers, the USCIS site, the AILA site, and every site that I think might have any snippet of info. And, no luck.

I've been doing the same. With every combination of keywords I could think of. And... nothing.

It's possible there will be absolutely no announcements about Overland Park.. Who knows. I'll keep googling, just in case :P

Hopefully The Mystery of Overland Park will be solved... soon!

So... My NOA1 says that it was sent from Overland Park... Is that good bad or WTH does it mean?

It means that your I-130 will be adjudicated at the newly opened Division 8 at the Overland Park facility. It is my belief that I-130s dated from May 2013 onward are sitting in a pile at Overland Park waiting to be worked on. Hopefully this Division will be able to streamline the backlog.

So it's not good or bad. It just is. And we all wait in the queue.

I opened the article and the print date is Nov of 2012.... hoping this is super out dated!

It is definitely outdated. I think this article refers to a December 2012 opening for the office as a whole, but the important thing is that it doesn't pertain to the scheduled start of Division 8 I-130 adjudications this year.
