Hi everyone,

Does anyone how the overseas Consulate is chosen by the NVC, is it random or do we have a choice? For e.g. in India there are 3 Consulates, how can I find out where our case will go?

Thanks

Soni

For India, immigrant visa interview are only conducted in New Delhi or Mumbai. You don't get to choose which one, it is based on where the beneficiary resides.

Hi everyone!

Ok, so this is my first post in here, late bloomer, I guess!

Anyway, just wondering how long the NVC stage seems to be taking for others...I am a USC and my husband is French. NVC received our case in March and it was finally entered into their system on April 11, 2014. Soon after they entered it into their system, they started sending the payments requests, which we immediately paid. We have filled in all of the forms for the NVC stage and sent in our AOS docs and civil docs - as of April 30th, they have everything. How long should we guess that this stage will take? When I call the NVC, they tell me 30 business days - is anyone finding this to be accurate?

Also, is there any way to get this thing expedited? And what is considered a good enough reason for it to be expedited? I have seen people on here that were able to get the entire process (USCIS and NVC) expedited and had their cases completely finished in about 5 months. We are at about 10 1/2 months at the moment (which I know is short compared to what some people are going through - seriously, I don't understand how it can take so long for this - although I always find it "funny" how our payments are immediately cashed and then we have to wait months for anything to actually get done).

THANK YOU!

A lot of us got the NA2 Approved on between 04/09/14 to 04/14/14. Did any of you have a NVC Case number assigned yet? I have been checking with them and they have not received my case yet. Just checking...

Thank you,

Soni

Mine was approved 4/8 but was not received by NVC until 4/25 just called and still no number. :(

Good Morning, I need some guidance/advise.

I have submitted AOS package (late April) for my husband - he has already received his appointment for his biometrics, however, yesterday in the mail, we received a letter "Request for Initial Evidence I 485" with it, they are sending me "supplement A to Form I485 for me to fill out.

My first question is - my husband came to the US with a Visitors Visa and has his passport stamped - they are requesting "evidence" -----can i just send a copy of his Visitors Visa / stamped old passport ?????

Also - is there any reason to fill out supplement A (my understanding was that this form was not suppose to be submitted if you entered legally into the states)

if anyone can please guide me.

Thank you
