*ponders* i know what you mean about A4. What do they use?? Lol.

I think the official term for their paper size is US legal. It is a pain when putting lots of documents together but then again the official documents never seem to be same size, the UK marriage certificate is stupidly long.

I'm afraid we will be getting an RFE as well as I signed both g325-a documents and my husband was actually supposed to sign the one with his information on it. I did not do my research well at all!

2013-22-05: Sent I-130 to Chicago Lockbox

2013-10-06: NOA1 received - Petition at Overland Park, Kansas

2013-11-12: Email stating our I-130 has been transferred to a local USCIS Office

2013-13-12: Email stating our I-130 was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office

Have now decided to do DCF through the London Embassy:

2013-22-10: Overnighted a second I-130 to London

2013-24-10: NOA1

2013-21-11: Letter requesting that we cancel our I-130 petition filed in the U.S.

2013-09-12: NOA2

I hadn't ever considered issues with paper size! Standard size in the US is 8.5"x11" (aka "letter" size). Legal is a longer sheet and isn't commonly used. When I did the G-325As I just sent my husband a PDF to fill out and had him return it to me via email. I printed everything for our packet here and just had him sign and date the necessary forms when he arrived before our wedding. Now everything is moving online for the NVC stage hopefully this sort of stuff won't be an issue.

Sorry to hear that mayb! :( Hoping for the best for all of us here.

I hope your scenario plays out. I am a May filer hoping to get approved in October/November (Priority date 5/15). I feel really bad for the February-April filers. Most of them must be at local offices that are hammered.

You know, I check my status every day, even though I know it's futile. But it was VERY disappointing to see that the timeline shifted to MARCH today. When I first submitted, it was late November/early December. Then it sat at the first half of January, then it shifted to late Jan/mid Feb about 2 weeks ago. Today it's the first half of March. Sigh.

December was bad enough. March is downright insulting! I guess I should just count my blessings...

I remember back when I first filed, VJ was giving me an estimate of mid-October through mid-November. For a while we managed to hover around the late December range, but now it's mid-Jan through mid-Feb. I know Captain Ewok has been doing some work on timelines so these estimates should, in theory, be getting more accurate =\ Not great since they're all getting worse, but not unexpected either. My hopes are still hanging on October. If things don't pick up then, I think I'll finally be resigned to a ~year long processing timeline.

Is just so frustrating that a paper work that takes 15 to 20 minutes to check we have to wait over 6 months for approval after we are paying so much money 420 dollars hopefully with this new office at oveland park we get this out of the way faster

July volume and trend data posted! No good or exciting news out of this data. Petitions pending nationally were still climbing while approval rate stayed pretty flat (i.e., backlog growing... no surprise there).Looks like field offices were still receiving petition transfers as well, as those receipt numbers held steady.

USCIS national processing goal as of July 31 remained at 5 months. Average soared again to 16.6 months. Here's hoping October brings us some better news.

It would be nice if we were approved within their 5 month target (November) but given the backlog it seems unlikely.

Saying that the K1 process got really messed up about a year ago and now their approvals are flying.

When I submitted my I-130 in late June, the estimated adjudication period (based on VisaJourney input) was late November - mid December. Then it was December. Then late December-mid January. It shifted by 2 weeks about 4 more times until I actually had a MAY date.

It is apparent that no I-130s are moving at this point - because this is what my estimated status says now...

There are not enough recent approvals in the timeline system to accurately approximate when your I-130 will be approved. Please see the Timeline Stats page to see recent approvals.

I sure will be glad when we start to see some of the approvals come through. May was depressing, but "not enough approvals" is ridiculous!

Come on, October!!!!

Hi guys,

I called USCIS and requested for an Expedite Service. Let's see what happens. Waiting is horrible. And I really miss my wife and an unborn child and it's only been 10 days since I left her and feels like 10 years.
