I have been following the July thread. I'm glad to see many NSC approvals since I'm waiting myself.

I actually had 2 questions. I hope someone can answer-

1. I am planning to visit my wife for 2 weeks. If my file is touched and should they request RFE. What is the general timeline given to respond back to them? Can anyone who has had a RFE tell me.

2. Are RFE's sent thru registered mail or is it thru regular mail? I am asking this since no one will be home to attend a signature delivery.

My PD 07-11

TD to NSC- 01-03

05-18 Got Married in Mumbai, India



07-11 Mailed i-130 petition


07-17 Received Form I-797C. MSC#


01-03 Case transferred to NSC


03-11 I-130 approved



Total time in USCIS: 8.0 months



03-17 Case recieved at NVC


04-24 Filled out DS 261


05-11 Mailed AOS package


05-17 Mailed IV package


05-19 AOS "scanned" date


05-23 IV package "scanned" date


06-18 Received checklist on AOS


06-19 Mailed checklist response

we've got approved today. NOA1 31.05.2013 (but I treated is as early June), NOA2 05.03.2014 (64 days after transfer).


Good luck! seems like NSC is going through May/June applications now faster than previously.

I was looking at the transfer sheet and I think they have something against June 6th date lol. Everybody is left except jnmro. Hopefully they will approve all of us in one day lol.
