BOS_LHR is not overseas.

I don't think I understood you properly. You are in the US and your wife is overseas, but the petition will not get transferred? Who is the petitioner? If you are and you are in the US, then that's the "normal" case where petitions were sent to local field offices this past year.

Do you want me to add you to the list?

Yup, same thing here. Overland Park, KS. So you think our petitions will not go to local field centers at all?

As always I'm afraid to try to draw conclusions about the USCIS's behavior... but I am dearly hoping that those of us who landed at NBC-Kansas right off the bat will stay there for the duration. If Kansas is meant to begin adjudicating petitions within the next month or so, it makes no sense for our files to be forwarded elsewhere.

I'm going to be watching field office volumes like a hawk over the coming months and hoping to see a drop-off in receipts. My thought is that June's volume numbers reflect the transfer of filers up through April, based on the 1-2 month transfer time estimates VJ users report. That would be all right because the April thread posters all seem to be in Missouri. As of May, VJ petitions were going to Kansas, so hopefully we'll see fewer receipts at field offices when the next couple of volume data sets are published. That would indicate that those Kansas petitions are staying put. Fingers crossed biggrin.png

Please start writing below the quote, this is getting confusing. biggrin.png

Since Aug 15th, 2012 petitions were being sent to local field offices. However, if the petitioner was overseas (not the beneficiary, petitioner!) then there was no local office and then petitions stayed at NBC and got approved there (quickly, so people call this "auto-expedite").

I'm going to be watching field office volumes like a hawk over the coming months and hoping to see a drop-off in receipts.

Please share your opinions with us biggrin.png I suck at doing stuff like that, but I enjoy reading other people's opinions and findings. biggrin.png

Thanks!

Gladly! Attempting to interpret the data is probably an exercise in futility, but it keeps me occupied/out of trouble laughing.gif The key is just to take everything with a grain of salt. There could be backlogs that continue to be sent to field offices for months ahead, there could be a drop off in receipts that's correlation but not causation. It just helps me to look for method in the madness, and I do think there's reason to hope that things will improve. Whenever I find data that seems to back it up, I'll be running to share it happy.png

Hey guys!! Got some news regarding my expedite request through an email received earlier today:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services electronic records show your call to the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) on July 30, 2013. The Referral ID for that Service Request was XXX.XXX.XX.XXXXX.MSC.

Your referral and issue reported during your call are currently being worked by an officer at the Missouri Service Center. You will be receiving a response to this referral via mail or email.

Please wait for the response to that referral, and follow any directions provided.

Anyways, I know that an Expedite Procedure is an exception and not the norm for filers/petitionners in this thread... HOWEVER, it might be interesting for some to know how lenghty this procedure is EVEN under Expedite Procedure.

Still have not been approved; but if we are, still best to wait 3 months instead of 6-9 months...

Will keep you guys updated!!

Cross fingers!!

06/10/2013 NOA1 I-130 Priority date (NBC @ Overland Park, KS)

08/15/2013 Sent a letter to the NBC/MSC regarding Expedite

10/15/2013 Case approved, Notice mailed

10/21/2013 Case shipped to the DHS/NVC

My husband is bugging me to call however I get the feeling they will just keep telling me to wait so it's a waste of time!

However, I did find someone who is willing to sponsor my husband so I suppose in the meantime I can get started on that paper work!

2013-22-05: Sent I-130 to Chicago Lockbox

2013-10-06: NOA1 received - Petition at Overland Park, Kansas

2013-11-12: Email stating our I-130 has been transferred to a local USCIS Office

2013-13-12: Email stating our I-130 was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office

Have now decided to do DCF through the London Embassy:

I see a thread trending... NOA1 to NOA2 in 6 weeks. We are on day 63 since NOA1, many of you guys here are approaching 90... and nothing. Not a word.

Sigh. I'd like to get my RFE, please.

I saw that thread too. As much as I know the CR1 was 100% the right choice for us, as thrilled as I am to be husband and wife, it stings a little to see K1 filers with June notice dates getting their approvals already. I just try to look at it from this sort of perspective: http://jezebel.com/5815172/a-little-girls-lesson-in-fairness-courtesy-of-louis-ck

Knowing that the Kansas center will be up and running in about a month, I'm not going to bother checking in with USCIS before then. I'm headed to the UK for a visit at the end of September, so until I'm home from that, I'm not going to worry about it. Nothing's going to happen before then anyway.

Hey guys,

I had originally posted on here when the threat originally began, but for personal reasons, me and hubby decided to wait a couple of months. Finally filed in Aug and we already have our NOA1.

I have been scouring threads and posts all over VJ to try and find out more about the new NBC service centre they have created in Kansas. From the information I was able to gather, it seems that May 20113 filers' petitions and onwards are sitting prettily in at the Kansas service centre, in Division 8 waiting for the end of september so they can begin working on them.

Anyone heard anything new or different?
