USCIS has updated its e-request tool to allow service requests for cases outside normal processing times. Just received the following stakeholder email via USCIS Public Engagement:

Dear Stakeholder,

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is pleased to introduce a new, more streamlined look and feel to e-Request, our online customer service inquiry tool. E-Request allows customers to submit a request to USCIS in the following instances:

If a case has been pending longer than the posted processing times;
If a customer did not receive a notice from USCIS, such as a biometrics appointment notice or an interview notice; or
If there is a typographic error on a USCIS-issued card, notice or document.

Beginning Feb. 15, customers may also submit requests for disability accommodations through e-Request. Additionally, USCIS customers using the online Change of Address tool are now able to print a copy of their completed Form AR-11, Change of Address.

If you are interested in learning more about e-Request and other online customer service resources, USCIS will host quarterly webinars for stakeholders in the coming months. For more information, check www.uscis.gov/outreach for updates, or sign up for email notifications on our public engagement events.

Kind Regards,
USCIS Public Engagement Division

You can absolutely try, and please let us know how it goes! I do think the tool is more intended for people who are outside the processing dates posted here: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do. Any June filers straggling at CSC, this option is definitely open to you.

No, they would prefer if you did not. :D

I don't think you understand what those numbers really mean. They are a very, very small sample of the total number of petitions that were transferred to the service centers for processing. Saying there are only seven left or something doesn't really mean anything. Each service center likely had thousands of petitions from June to process. Looking at the percentage completed MAY give some meaning to their progress, but you are viewing such a small sample that it is likely misleading.

Yes Yes I very well understand that. I never said there are 7 petetions left at uscis I m not stupid. The first sentence I used was that I was going thru the spreadsheet. All I meant was that there are small number of petetions left from Texas and even smaller from California so only major backlog is in Nebraska right now from may and June so hopefully they will get to us soon.

Good afternoon all!

Thanks bos, for replying to my last post!

My priority date is June 17th, we were transfered to TSC on Dec 27 and approved yesterday on the 19th!

I'm sorry if this is long but I want to post incase this helps! I know every little thing happening at my service center helped keep my hope up!

I first did a service request on Jan 18 to see what was happening with our case and TSC replied that they had to do an extra review and that our file was with an officer and we would hear something in 30 days.

Since we didnt hear anything I called last week to speak with tier 2 I think around the 12th to see if my file had been touched and if anything new, she told me that there was movement on the 5th but couldn't see for what. She recommended I wait until the 18th when the 30 days were up.

The 18th came with no news so I called again and was told its still being reviewed and they can't do anything and I had to wait 2 weeks before I can call again and the 60 days transfer didn't mean anything as long as its being reviewed. They wouldn't do anything else for me.

I decided to email TSC on the night of feb 18 asking for an update and reminding them that they told me I would hear something by the 18th and my 60 days were almost up. I was hoping to draw more attention to my file, I remembered reading that some people had some success this way. I checked the status yesterday and it was still in initial review but when I checked this morning it said on Feb 19 we were approved.

I'm not sure if the calls and emails helped? I know others have been calling a lot, but I find it odd the next day we were approved?
