Hello All,

New in this forum. I need to say thank you for all the help offered from this VJ Community and insights/experiences posted by the members.

Here's my journey:

PD: June 12, 2013(i-130) and July 1, 2013(I-129F). National Benefits Center and Overland Pk.

ARN number change: July 12, 2013

Transfer: Nebraska (Dec 27, 2013)

Infopass: Local office(Jan 16, 2014).

IO gave positive response regarding my petition(I-130) told to wait for 15-30 days for decision. If not, come back to see them again. Also, mentioned that, if I-129F was not petitioned it would have been approved at NBC by now. Probably true since I had to wait with July filers to get approved.

Service Request(I-129F): Jan 24, 2013

Results came very generic saying its pending adjudication on Jan 28, 2013.

Approval: Feb 2, 2014. 45 min after ARN number change at 11.00am :)

I hope everything goes smoothly from here in our visa-journey with NVC and Consulate. Its been a long wait and glad this time has passed to get here not knowing this would take a long time. Almost 8 months past since petitioned.

Good luck to everybody!

Looks like Nebraska is getting on speed. Good news is coming from there and for people waiting for approval.

Thank you very much !

God bless!

Hey everybody, I applied June 20 2013 got a letter saying they received my petition a couple weeks later then dec 27 2013 I got an email saying they transferred my husbands case to my local uscis office but idek which one that would be and since then I haven't heard back btw we live in Mexico since we got married which is since 2012 so what kind of evidence does my husband need to take when/ if he does get his interview for the waiver or how does that work I'm confused (he was in the US illegally but never got deported or caught by immigration however he did get pulled over for driving with out a drivers license and went to court and paid his fine and all) then returned to Mexico voluntarily a few months later because his mother passed .. Sorry if that was really long just wanted to give a description of my situation oh yeah and we have a 5 month old daughter who is also American

For your friend, was it 50 days after the transfer notice redirecting your petition to a service centre ?

Or was it 50 days from start to finish ?

If they are living abroad or were granted expedited processing - they may go from NOA1 to NOA2 in fifty days (that's not unusual)

Or - they could have just been assigned to California.

You were assigned to the Nebraska Service Centre.

Average waiting AFTER the transfer is 75 days-90 days.

I'm sending off a letter to my congressman (Veasey) and senator (Cornyn) today because of the waste of a month sending my case to California and then sending it right back to NBC and my husband's upcoming hearing. Wish me luck!

Good luck!! It really is outrageous they've wasted a month of your time only to send you back to NBC, I hope your representatives can help put their feet to the fire so to speak.

Most unapproved June transfers have been waiting around 50 days at this point. Since you didn't receive your hardcopy I recommend you call Tier 2 and see if they'll a) tell you where your petition is located, b) resend the transfer notice. Once you've determined where your case is, you can email the service center directly. Only one other non-expedite member reported a transfer as early in December as yours, and that person went to Nebraska, along with the majority of June filers. It's very like you're there, but unfortunately they're lagging far behind other centers for approvals in our group.

You should call USCIS and ask them where your petition is located, I know petitioners living abroad have trouble getting hard copy notices sent to their foreign address. Remember that you still have to get through NVC and then be denied at the interview before you can apply for a waiver, so make sure you're preparing for those steps too. I recommend you post a separate topic of your own with a description of your situation, including whether your husband entered illegally or overstayed a visa, and members with experience with waivers can help you better. Good luck!

Hello all :) I am a long time lurker.

My priority date is June 17 and my application was transferred to TSC on December 27.

I did a service request on January 18 and I received this response:

The status of this service request is:

We have received your service request and researched the status of your case. We have had to perform an additional review and this has caused a delay in processing time. Your case is currently with an adjudicating officer. You should receive a decision or notice of further action within 30 days

Is this a standard reply to buy them more time? Should I be concerned they had to perform an additional review? I tried googling and that really didnt help :(

Thanks for any answers!
