June 2013 I-130 Filers (merged)

Just read this, and I'm soooo angry!!

Hi everyone,

my fiance had sent the I-129F package on September 24. She recieved an email on September 28 that it had been received.

yesterday she received another email saying the I-129F has been approved.

On November 15, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

we received the confirmation in less than 2 months. That seems faster than normal. Maybe we are lucky. So what do we expect next and what all documents should we gather for the interview?

Now I don't begrudge this persons speedy approval but I sure as hell expect my husband's petition to be dealt with in the same way!!!!

I saw approvals on the K-1 forum that were processed in two weeks or less. It's terrible.

There's been some K1 approvals that have been less than a month, really don't see why they can't just pull some resources away from K1 and towards 1-130 adjudication it's hugely frustrating.

Completely agree.

In case you guys haven't stumbled upon this yet... someone has kindly created a general email (google doc) for all of us to copy and paste and send it to everyone on the email list (on pg 3 of google doc). The plan is that everyone will email/fax them THIS TUESDAY (11/19) in hopes to raise awareness of the issue of the long dreadful processing time. Please help take part in this issue and pass it along.

I truly believe if we all took part in this, we can make change!

It's nice to see CSC post a Feb 2013 processing date instead of last October! Bear in mind that the data being updated this month is from September, though, so it won't reflect all the transfers that have been happening -- those started in October and won't be reported on uscis.gov until December.

Today's a chance to shine a spotlight on USCIS' actions. Please visit this thread and consider speaking up on behalf of everyone suffering through this process. With a coordinated effort by many individuals on one day, we stand a chance at getting some attention.

Nice to have hope that way but I sincerely doubt it -- I worked for a congressman before and those things are really what they call LPB .... "Low Priority Bitching"

As long as there is a system in place and it is moving it isn't a fix problem on the overall scheme of things. An intern will be handling those for them -- I started to read all those steps they were taking in the other forum and it made me feel for them because I am sure they are spending many hours on those letters and contacts.

Still patiently waiting on our CR1 NOA2 notification. I received my NOA1 for the K3 we filed. Wanted to wish all the June Filers an early Thanksgiving. I'm grateful that I don't have to go thru this journey alone.
